The store seems thrown together. Nothing seems to be where it should be. It's almost as though 4 different people, using 4 different approaches to organization, arranged the merchandise without consulting each other or with any consideration of a uniform layout. It is not like it is difficult to put books together by genre, then alphabetical by title (with the exception of books in a series which should always be grouped with book 1 of the series - this will also tend to keep titles by the same author together within the genre) and then non-printed merchandise can be arranged as dividers between genres. And put seats throughout the store please. Some of us have multiple injuries or conditions that require us to be able to sit down as needed during our shopping experience. For goodness sake please increase the air flow and cooling in the store! Wearing a mask in a warm/hot store while in pain and sweating profusely is not a good time. Why have you made the comic book section smaller and smaller over the last 6 or 7 months? There is less to choose from and that is displeasing. The comic books and graphic novels are a fantastic way to get our kids reading. Please increase what you carry in the comic book and graphic...
Read moreThis store is kept neat and well-presented. The cafe area is not as neat, as tables and chairs get moved around, and every time I am there, I find books and magazines all over empty tables. Staff does come by and clean those up, but I usually come in the evening, and there is only one employee in the cafe area at that time, and she is both stocking and making coffee. That said, the cafe is still a nice place to spend time, and the coffee is good. The food items are a bit rich and lack variety, but that part is not very important to me. The hours are good, with the store and cafe open until 10 on weekdays.
I do find it difficult to find a staff member to help me find what I need. Last time I was there, I had to ask around to find staff, and another customer helped me find a staff member. At night especially, I think there just aren't enough staff scheduled. However, store staff are friendly and helpful when you do find them. Most of them are knowledgeable about what is on the shelves and can help you find what you are looking for or give you ideas if...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with the way the Stephen King signing ticket give away was handled. While I understand this is a first come, first serve experience, I feel there should have been a representative at the door with a counter, letting those customers after the 400 ticket limit, that they were out of luck, and I understand that some customers bought more than one book, receiving more than one ticket. This is great for the guy who bought three but not a good company decision. In doing so you have alienated all those who got turned away. Not a good business decision. When it is apparent that the line wrapped around the building os going to be greater than the amount of tickets available, you should limit the tickets to one per customer. When it's so easy to order books from Amazon and other on-line companies, you should be doing whatever you can to keep your...
