City Nails Spa — Local services in South Tucson

NO, just NO. I made an appointment for 9:30 with Don. I didn't get in the chair until 9:50. I was recommended this place because I was told they were really good at nail art, and was specifically recommended to see Don, so at the time I didn't mind the wait. Well I was wrong. Once I sat down I showed him a picture and he said he couldn't do it. That he didn't know how and how difficult it is to keep up with trends. Okay fine, next picture was an ombré nail, a simple pink and white ombré. He said no, we don't have powders here, we're still pretty old school. Okay fine, last picture was just plain nails with three stones/diamonds. He said they didn't have stones there. SO 5 minutes later, his coworker comes by and leaves pink and white powder on his desk. He struggles to lie and says oh well we can't do that with your nails we just can't today. Then when I get up to go wash my hands, I notice the lady next to me getting her nails decked out in stones. Also, the entire time I was there he kept talking about how busy he was and how he needed to hurry up with mine and how he just didn't have time to try doing something with my nails. 1. I'm PAYING for your service, 2. I'm a FIRST TIME customer and this is the impression I get. Also, the salon is a dump. It's insanely dirty. If I could give this salon zero stars, I hate to say, I would. I am huge on customer service and had I been informed that it would be an extremely long wait and they ask me if it was possible if I could return later, I may have done so. However, I was repeatedly promised that I would be attended to and over an hour later I finally got up and left out of such frustration. I cannot review the salon’s quality of work because the customer service and sense of urgency to their guests was so poor I never even had the opportunity to have a service done. I went to get a manicure but also a nail removal. My experience with the nail removal was awful! The nail tech Kelly ripped the old nail off, thinking she was going to soak my nails for the old one to come off. No, she clipped and using a lose fake nail she put it in between my real nail and old nail to separate the two leaving a painful removal. I asked her if she would soak them but that it takes to long.
