Burlington — Local services in Southaven

I have had good and bad experiences at this store but...I have to say I agree with many of the other reviews that more cashiers are needed and I might add that they need to be trained in how to treat the customers. The one that checked me out tonight (January 28, 2023) was very snarky/rude. Myself and another lady was in line for at least 10 minutes to start with and the cashier was assisting a gentleman I think with a return. They were taking quite awhile and there were 2 other young girls behind the desk as well. One was putting up returns and hangers and the other was standing by the one assisting the man. They all seemed to be chatting it up and taking longer than it should have. I would see the cashier look up and glance at me once in awhile but never offered a "we will be right with you" or offer to have one of the other girls open a register to assist with check out. I finally said "excuse me for interrupting but is this the only register open?" She offered only a yes and an eye roll as if I had bothered her. I waited a bit longer and they continued to ignore us and by that time the line had grown. I called the store from my phone and watched the girl as she answered the phone and I asked her the manager's name and asked how many registers were open and she told me two. I told her I was in line and was told by the girl assisting the man that there was only one open. She said she was just told to open up the other one, and she was just doing her job. I responded with I saw you putting hangers on a rack behind the cash registers but you had customers waiting and should have made it a priority to wait on your customers. She said Mam I was doing my job. I hung up the phone as the man finally finished and left. The same cashier that was assisting him called next in line which was me. As she was checking me out she was very unapologetic and snarky in attitude. She snickered as though she was proud of herself for making me disgruntled. After she announced the price, I hesitated thinking something was wrong because it seemed a bit high, but then realized I forgot I added a pair of shoes last minute. She laughed out loud in my face as though she was making fun of me for being mistaken. I asked her what was funny, but she did not respond. I almost left everything and walked out, but I had spent a lot of time finding the items and waiting in line probably a total of 20 minutes and was not going to allow her treatment of me with her nasty attitude to waste my time. There are other places to shop in this town that will take care of the customers. I don't expect red carpet treatment but common courtesy goes a long way. Open up your registers and hire and train people that will be an asset to your store. Your customers pay their wages and keep your store open. They deserve...

First time I ever did a return and I will not do it again. I love coming to Burlington, but for three days I have been trying to exchange some shoes for a different size. I bought the shoes on Monday morning and I went back at noon to exchange them and they didn't have the size I wanted. First let me say to do a return you have still have to wait in that long line and you guess it they only have 2 cashiers lol. So I said no way and I left (because it was almost time for me to get my kids from school). So I go back Tuesday afternoon at 1230 and they have 45 people In line and still only 2 cashiers. So, I decide to go back today as soon as they open which is Wednesday, and they still have 2 cashiers luckily there was only 9 people in line. Now I finally get to the counter( I found a size that 2 sizes to big and the only other pair like the shoe I have) and the price of the shoes have changed. What a shame! I had the same exact shoe but a different size and the price changed, I almost just asked for a refund but they don't give you money they put your money on a gift card as if you o ly want to spend it there. I will not be purchasing another pair of shoes from there ever again. OAN (on another note) They don't care about reviews all their replies say the same thing and yet still it will still be 2 cashiers there and a horrible return policy. They need a customer...

I always find so many great deals!! I buy athletic, business, and casual clothes from here for myself. I especially go during Christmas because I know I'll always find something for everyone to enjoy! There are many good options for bedding, kitchen, decor, and accessories as well.

The dressing's room lack a sales rep, but they're open to everyone and are kept pretty clean in my experience.

The only con is that their line gets pretty long due to a lack of cashiers, but it'd always been worth the wait (just bring a Switch to play on while you wait or call a friend, you'll be at the front before you know it) and you'll be happy you did!
