Horrible!! I NEVER fill reviews out but I feel that for this I will take the few minutes. I just came from this store and I was treated awfully from one of the associates. In my whole life I’ve never experienced anything like this. I was browsing in the cosmetics section and this associate Nancy M (nametag said) came up and started straightening up the lipsticks on the display I was looking at. She made a comment that she had just straightened up them 10 minutes ago. I figured she was just making conversation and I agreed that the displays get messy. Then she walked away then a few minutes later came back again and started doing the same thing and talking out loud to herself about how she just put these away and then she picks up a lipstick package and says did you do this? A re w you messing up this display? I thought she was kidding I said are you accusing me of that? And she went on to say that she just organized them 10 min ago and they weren’t like this. I told her she was rude and out of line and you don’t talk to customers like that. Then I walked away and she started whispering to some other customers about me. I’m not kidding this was a 60 year old woman acting like a baby. I’m still in shock. I’m so disgusted, I ended up dumping everything I had in my hand and left the store. I told the manager on the way out. Whether it’s addressed or not who knows but that is how my shopping...
Read moreThis is a very great t.j Maxx store very similar to it's partner Marshalls. The only difference I can see between TJ Maxx and Marshalls is simply that TJ Maxx stores do not sell men's shoes. Why I have no clue. This t.j Maxx is nestled in a wonderful little shopping center in Southbury, Connecticut. Whether you're coming here from a surrounding suburb or you are on a trip from New York to Massachusetts or some other god forsaken place and you want to stop and do some shopping last minute. This is a great place because it's right next to a McDonald's where you can eat and then you can go into the TJ Maxx and shop on a full stomach. There's an emphasis on female goods in this. TJ Maxx. There's lots of jewelry and purses and tons of cosmetics and not so much in the men's section. But you don't really think that men are in here shopping all the time. Do you? They're not. They also have some "home goods" type things in this place. And things for pets and children., So check that out if it's that your thing and makes you feel less guilty about shopping for purses for yourself.
One thing that can be said for this TJ Maxx is they always have a bunch of people ringing people out and the lines never take that long to get through no matter how long it looks or no matter how many good things they put in line to look at while you're waiting...
Read moreI thought it was nice that this location worked with the special needs community and had hired a few to be a door greeters. However, one of these 'special' employees saw me and instantly accused me of sleeping with his girlfriend. I laughed because obviously this little man had never had a girlfriend, but he then proceeded to call me a full blown nagger. Given that I am a man of color, I assume he was trying to be hateful with a slur. I tried to ignore his insults but he kept waddling around behind me, repeatedly yelling "oh yeah baby l-o-l." When I finally asked him what his problem was, he told me that he had accomplished a lot in his life. I congratulated him and left. His name tag said something like Matty or Marty Romanko. I hope TJ Maxx seriously reconsiders who it allows to work in its stores, even if it is just part of a charity work program for...
