Small ice cream and toffee place with some amazing desserts.

The ice cream is rich and creamy, some of the best I've had. Undeniably better than chain ice cream parlors by far. They source out of Charleston, but I'd swear the ice cream was made just behind the counter. Fresh, bright, and delicious.

In addition to ice cream, Dottie's sells toffee in various forms and sizes. Though I didn't purchase toffee directly, the toffee ice cream with crumbles of toffee on top was fantastic. Sweet, crunchy, but with a bold flavor profile. I'll almost certainly be back to pick up a bag to munch on.

Pricing was extremely fair, especially for the quality. I got a small waffle cone for around $3, which is completely reasonable. Instead of some weird pricing schedule where different containers have different costs, you pay by the amount of ice cream and choose whether it goes into a bowl or either cone for no premium.

Definitely worth a visit, Dottie's Toffee serves as an excellent complement after lunch or dinner at one of the fine restaurants in downtown...

I didn't not enjoy coming to Dottie's at all. When my friend and I walked in, the woman behind the counter just looked at us w/o speaking & when we were ready to order she continued to stare at us & asked very rudely "what do you want?". I ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and I'm pretty sure she gave me vanilla because there was no cookie dough in it & a few chocolate chips.
