I used to really enjoy this restaurant until tonight. My experience was the worst experience I've ever had with a restaurant to date. My husband ordered me a meal they had posted online. The person took the order over the telephone with no issues. We went to pick up the food, the restaurant is 25 minutes from our home. When we got the food home, it was completely different than what it was online. The picture showed sauteed chicken breast, and vegetables in a light sauce. What i received was dried out breaded fried chicken nuggets, almost no vegetables and a cup of mayonnaise on the side. When i called to explain that i had gotten the wrong meal, i spoke with a young man named Ken that claims he's the owner. I guess he's the "new" owner because he's never been the owner all the years i've eaten there. He was extremely rude. He said the restaurant didn't even serve this meal. He said he wasn't responsible for this meal being online and that it was my fault that his staff cooked a meal that supposedly didn't even exist on the menu. He continued to try to argue with me for almost 20 minutes. He was the most unprofessional and rude restaurant owner I have ever encountered. I said, if the meal didn't exsist on your menu and there was a mistake online, why didn't the person on the phone taking our order just say that and I would have just ordered something else. He continued to be rude and say he wasn't responsible for pictures and descriptions of their food being posted online. I was really confused at this point and just if he would replace the meal with one that was on the menu. He refused to replace the meal. So i just asked for a refund. For me, all it takes is one bad experience somewhere. I will NEVER be a customer here again. I've never been talked to that way by a...
Read moreIt's ok. There were only 3 tables (including the 2 of us), and the service was off. I saw 3 waiters walking around. We got our drinks, and we waited about 40 minutes for our tofu lettuce wraps. Meanwhile, the table of 4 that was seated after us got all of their food before us. One waiter, that wasn't ours, told us "your lettuce wraps should be done" and then walked back to the bar and sat down. Our waiter walked by us a few times, and never once mentioned to us that our appetizer was ready, explained why we were waiting so long, or even offered to refill our drinks. Lettuce wraps finally came, and it was just ok. The tofu was swimming in a sauce, which may be the way they make it here, but every time you tried to spoon it onto lettuce, it slid right off. Our waiter never stopped to tell us what was happening, and he actually avoided our gazes when he walked by, and didn't refill drinks. My husband ordered pad Kee mow, and it was a ton of food, and was swimming in sauce. I got the Tom Kha soup, and it tasted watered down, not very coconut at all. There were food splatters on the walls, and the place smelled like cigarette smoke and old oil. It was dark. Not "cool Thai restaurant" dark, but so dark I couldn't see my menu. It took an hour and a half to get lettuce wraps, pad Kee mow, and a small bowl (really small) of Tom Kha. If you have ever had Thai food in any other city, you will know this place is not good. Save the hassle, and go down the street to Monsoon...
Read moreFirst off, I definitely give a five star to our service. Noah took care of us, and he was super attentive, and was really helpful with the menu. This was our first time at this restaurant. One thing we noticed when we sat down, it looks like there might be food splatters on the wall. We ordered appetizers, the fried spring rolls in the calamari. The calamari was probably one of the better calamari I have had an a while, it was cut very thin and was in larger circles, and the sweet chili sauce was really good. (I accidentally got a blurry photo of those)
The entrées we felt like could have been better. My husband got the hibachi steak and chicken. He said the steak was tender, until you start chewing into it, it then felt grainy. I got the lobster and chicken. The lobster was extremely tough. I was hesitant to order it because it was a new restaurant for me, and I know that lobster is a difficult thing to prepare. It had a little bit of a bitter taste, which made me worried. Although I thought maybe it was just the seasonings they used. The cabbage was also bitter, kind of tasting like maybe it was from the centerpiece of the cabbage. We spent $74 for everything, and we just felt like for the price it definitely could have been better. We really enjoyed the dimmed lighting in the restaurant, that part was really calming. Everyone seemed pretty happy that was working there, and again we had...
