10/10 business and this location is outstanding. My (now) wife and I frequent this location for both Spices to cook at home as well as tea for cozy days in. We share such a love for spices that we inquire about having Spice & Tea accomodating and catering for our wedding favors this January 2023! We had about 120 guests and gave out 0.25 oz-ish two pack bags of Cinnabar Smoke and Tuscany Blend (our two favorite spices for cooking) wrapped up with homemade tags, "Thank you for Spicing up out day!". Spice & Tea Spartanburg, SC not only gave us a discount and wholesale price because we were purchasing such a large quantity, but they also gave us store credit for the order and bagged up the custom size spice bags for us. We bought these beautiful sheer organza bags to place each two-pack of spices inside and we hand tied the homemade tags on each gift for our wedding guests. (That was tedious, but worth it!) Overall, our wedding was a dream come true and Spice & Tea blew everyones mind with such a high quality wedding favor! (P.S. - I cannot quote or guarantee that Spice & Tea exchange Spartanburg, SC is able to accommodate or replicate the services or experience that my wife and I had, but I wanted to share our experience because it shows the heart of their business for the...
Read moreThis last weekend my friends and I traveled to Spartanburg to check out some local restaurants and shops and there was a street fair happening. We had some lunch and drinks, then decided to walk around to check out the local shops. That’s when we found The Spice & Tea Exchange and immediately HAD to go inside. We really liked this store and got a great sense of calm with no one hounding us for sales, they just said “Let us know if you help with anything” and let us to roam about. There are Fine Teas, Custom Tea Blends, Salts, Peppers, Spices and Herbs, and just about anything related to all of these. The store was organized in a well thought-out manner which helped me find exactly what I was looking for, everything was perfectly labeled, and the smells were fantastic (even if it wasn’t what you are looking for it smelled nice). We chatted with the friendly staff as we were checking out and started comparing what we all got. We are looking forward...
Read moreThis is a really cool place! There is a wall of loose tea organized by color (white, green, red, and black), a wall of individual spices and blends, a small section of flavored sugars and a tea bar in the back. I was immediately drawn to the pepper section where there were at least 5 different types of paprika, a dry sriracha blend, even some whole dried bird's eye peppers. Everyone was super friendly and the prices were very reasonable for a downtown shop. I picked up 2 oz of pepper powder and a fresh blood orange iced tea for just under $11. I can see myself spending LOTS of...
