This is the first time I’ve ever done this, but need to get what happened to me last night off my chest because the lack of professionalism was unbelievable to me.
I go to this Taco Bell location last night picking up a DoorDash order. The very friendly girl at the front counter (gal number 1) checked for the order, but said she didn’t even see that they had received it yet. I told her that I had other food in the car and I thought maybe I would have to send another driver because I didn’t want the other order getting cold. As I’m telling her this, the gal running the drive-through or helping both sides (gal number) comes over and asks me again who I’m there to pick up for. I give her the name and she immediately spits out at me, ‘ I already told you that I gave the cooks the name on your order.’ She says this, as if talking down to me like I am less of a person than she is. I corrected her telling her that she hadn’t told that to me and that she probably told it to the driver that she helped just before me. All I hear is, ‘Oh.’
She then goes down to one of the cooks on the line that appeared to be one of the managers and says something to them. As she arrives back at the counter, the manager, without looking up from the food she’s making, hollers out for the whole kitchen and front area to hear, ‘ The orders will be made in the order received! I’m not bumping up any orders for anyone!!’
I usually I stay pretty calm about things, but At this point, I got angry. The manner in which gal number two spoke to me, and then the follow up from the manager was enough. I immediately responded loud enough for her to hear ‘ I didn’t ask for my order to be bumped!’ Gal number two seem to be startled by this and tried to respond letting me know that the Manager wasn’t talking to me. (She was actually talking to me by hollering out to gal number two in the manner that she did for all to hear.)
At this point I realize gal number two had told the manager that I was complaining and that I wanted my order right away because I had another order in my car, which was not at all what I asked, and if she had just stayed out of my conversation with gal number one, gal number one was handling things appropriately and professionally and the whole incident could’ve been avoided.
I look back at gal number one and asked if the order had been received yet, and she again responds with a No. I’m completely disgusted with how I was treated at this point and how the situation was handled that I turn and head for the door and as a final cherry on top of it all, gal number two starts chuckling as I walk away and throws in for me, herself and number one, along with the rest of the people waiting in front of the counter, ‘ I said your order would be next.’ (Another blatant lie!) This must’ve been her feeble attempt to make me look like I was the problem and not her herself. Completely disgusting!
This being said, I think that restaurants forget we delivery people are also potential customers when we go to pick up orders for another one of their other customers. When you treat me in such a foul manner, there’s no way I’m spending a penny at your restaurant when I’m looking for something to eat.
If you’re looking for a place to get some food and have a Taco Bell craving, I’d highly recommend avoiding this location altogether and head down to the location...
Read moreThe guy who took my order (wearing a beanie, African American, didn't catch his name) was speaking really loudly into the mic, and when I told him that I couldn't understand him because of this, and tried to order, he kept interrupting and speaking over me. I understand trying to be enthusiastic at work, or being young and having a good time with your coworkers, but it was every time I spoke that I was getting interrupted. I didn't even order everything I wanted to because I was so flustered by this employee's behavior that I just wanted to get out of there. I am autistic and have a really hard time with social interaction sometimes, and this situation was really frustrating and humiliating. The manager I spoke with apologized and assured me he would have a conversation with the employee, and was professional. I could hear the employee ask the manager what was wrong when he closed the window, and laughed like, it was no big deal. To him, it probably wasn't. When the employee handed me my order, he smirked and with a very sarcastic tone said "have a GREAT day". This guy knew that there was going to be no consequences and he was proud of it. I was in tears as I drove home. I didn't do anything to deserve being talked down to like that. This employee should know that the way he treated me tonight (and probably countless others) was unacceptable. It's not hard to have fun at work without being...
Read moreAs some of the other reviewers have stated, if I could give zero stars, I would. I was disgusted by how gross the interior was, the floor was filthy in a way that didn't happen in a short period of time. When you walk in, no one greets you at all. I waited for minutes for someone to acknowledge me or help me. I had placed my online order 10 mins prior and was picking it up. The workers are obsessed with the drive thru to the point of customer detriment. I stood and waited while several customers received their food before me, then multiple delivery drivers arrived after me, got their delivery and left. Then an older couple came in, took their time at the kiosk, ordered their food and received it before I even got mine. I watched what appeared to be a supervisor make my Mexican pizza, put what I specifically requested none of because of an allergy, thankfully not severe, on it then pull it off though some was on it still when I opened it. Watching the sloppy unhygienic way in which everything was made, it made my stomach turn. It was a waste of my hard earned money and after all this time, I will never ever be returning to...
