I'm so sad I'm giving these guys a 1 star review but, customer service is important; it's vital! For a long time now I've wanted to purchase a Cricut Cutter, and I walked in to this store today to purchase one. They had the Explore Air on display but the going price for this machine is $300 so I walked over to the check out the Explore but noticed they also had a Cameo for relatively the same price. Upon looking at both I was struggling to make a decision when an employee who was restocking happened to walk by. MIND YOU, she didn't ask if we needed help with anything so we had to ask her ourselves. Which is fine but common customer service etiquette would dictate that a customer looking at an expensive item should probably require assistance. She nonchalantly said "there really isn't a difference" and walked off. Thankfully a fellow customer came by and highly recommended the Cricut from having used hers for so long which finalized our decision. Since Michaels requires you to ask an associate to get the box from the back we go to the front and the two girls (one of which is one we've already talked to) rudely asked what we needed, as if we just interrupted them from talking to each other. They informed us that they no longer have the Cricut in stock. FYI...WRITE THAT ON THE ITEM, IT WOULD HAVE SAVED US A LOT OF TIME. We then asked when they would get more and they said they weren't, soooooooo maybe you should take it off the shelf. So disappointed in the service, I've spent a lot of money here as a veteran crafter, much more money than what the cricut is selling for so I'm highly disappointed in the overall experience I've had today and hope this gets resolved...
Read moreCaution to alternative people: you will be watched in this store. Immediately after getting into the store, both me AND my partner were immediately profiled and watched by a security guard for the WHOLE time we were in. Mind you, both me and my partner exhibited absolutely no behavior that would even lead them to following us especially since how immediate it was. I work retail, I know how these things work. I myself have to watch for thieves in my store, I get where appearances may play into it slightly but I am someone who will watch almost 80% based on behaviors that someone will show. Usually I look to see if they're running between isles, nervously looking around, being rude and dodgy. But we weren't doing any of that. In fact, just regular customers. The security guard wasn't even hiding that he was watching us that well either, clearly just standing at the end or running around the aisle we were in. It was uncomfortable, and quite frankly just rude. Just because someone has piercings and hair dye, apparently it means immediately that they are stealing. Please train your security to focus on actual problems and get better about not being super obvious. Don't judge a book...
Read moreI called the Michaels on N. Division this morning (7/28/23) and spoke with a wonderful gentleman named Chance! He loves what he does because his customer service is spot on! I called the store and got transferred to Chance. I explained that I’m making my own headstones (wood and paint) for my Halloween graveyard and I wanted to get something to make the stone look 3D. Did he think putty would work? Chance suggested a spray paint that looks just like stone. I’d never heard of that but I liked it. He offered to look at it so he could tell me exactly what it was. Then after he told me and I was definitely interested, he offered to go get the price. He was friendly, courteous and professional the entire time. It’s obvious he cares about people. I’m 55 and my first job in 1985 was working for the commissary on Fairchild. Back then, businesses taught customer service to their employees, so I know how customers should be treated but I rarely see that nowadays. Chance’s customer service was a breath of fresh air in a time where customer service is more like stale air. He deserves a kudos!
Thank you Chance for the outstanding...
