I'm giving this establishment a 1 star review and only because the waiter and the bloody Mary deserves a five star. The restaurant was clean and staff all friendly so it's not a personal thing. It's the food. I first went several years ago out to the valley location and it was tremendous. Homemade hash browns with pressed coffee that was served to the table in the press and quality food for a fair price. I just paid $80 for breakfast for two people. The hash browns were the same quality as any Denny's or Shari's. We ordered two plates of eggs Benedict. My wife had the Florentine and I had the brisket. Florentine is simply egg, spinach, tomato and bacon on an English muffin with hollandaise. She seemed to enjoy that. Mine was brisket and it was gross. Dry, tuff and just not good in that combination. It is a new item in the menu and I thought it was horrible. I had a bloody Mary and it was the best thing served to the table. My son showed up and he asked for 2 biscuits and gravy and the gravy was so watery instead of that thick country gravy we all love. I also ordered a side of bacon and an orange juice with two crepes. Just really simple food that was not of good quality and the price was just crazy. I mean, it's breakfast. Eggs Florentine Brisket Benedict Two crepes Two biscuits with gravy A side of bacon One bloody Mary One orange...

I love the variety and atmosphere here! They have so much to choose from - and it all looks so good! I love how they have many different countries cuisine represented. From Scandinavia to Germany, Hungary and Eastern Europe to the UK, France and Italy!

This place is the BOMB if you love European food and I DO!! I've hardly had better service either. The waitresses and waiters are always there to fill your glass and check on you. Even when it is busy. They seem to have a really good staff - and just a great thing going in general! Hopefully one day they will open for dinner! Crossing my fingers because this restaurant has a lot to offer on it's menu and I'd love to have dinner there!

EDIT:

After almost a year, we came back today and I'm sorry to say that the prices have gone way up. I know there is inflation and all going on - but to pay almost $20 for a small plate of breakfast just seems really to be too much. Especially considering you can have breakfast down the highway at IHOP or Denny's for just about half as much. Probably won't be back again. Sorry. It was nice while it was affordable. Still great...

Everyone is so friendly, from the patrons to the employees. The wait time can be a bit long on the weekends, but it's definitely worth it. They have, hands-down, the most amazing gluten-free pancakes I've ever had. And I try them everywhere I go. I'm usually disappointed, or at the very least unimpressed. But these? They're absolutely the best. They sort of taste like sourdough pancakes, and they are crispy and fluffy at the same time. I don't know how they do it, because it's definitely difficult to achieve. But my hat is off to them, because they did it. They also have brisket! I've never seen that offered with breakfast, but it's actually pretty good; there are other unique items, too. They have fresh squeezed orange juice that's absolutely delicious. The German pancakes are a little smaller than I'm used to come but absolutely delicious. And they have great omelets that are stuffed full, filled up more than anywhere else. Truly, I've never had something there that was disappointing, and the prices are reasonable and comparable for todays'...

I don't just come for the food. (Which is amazing, recommendations below) It's the experience. Knowing the smile you'll see when you come in will surely make your day better is huge. Over the last 6+ years, I've loved getting to know many of the staff here. Ian, Katie, Brandon, Ryan, and Dwayne! They are not all but some of the amazing faces that you will see when you go in there. Recommendations: Chicken fried chicken breakfast, egg cooked to choice, and choice of accompaniment. Avocado toast. Comes with 2 eggs cooked to choice. Traditional Hungarian goulash, choice of cheese, choice of accompaniment. Accompaniments: Crepes: raspberry jam, strawberry Waffle! French toast: All of them! Lastly, don't forget to put Fletchers' hot sauce on everything. Ask for some green chili sauce. Have some fresh squeezed orange juice, and let your batista make you a nice Austrian coffee! (:

I came alone around 15 till noon on Veterans Day Monday so it was PACKED like it would be on a weekend morning. There was a line stretching outside the door, but seeing I was alone, the hostess offered me a spot @ the counter which became free in less than 10 minutes! I'm glad I came alone, because the wait would've probably been AT LEAST 45+ minutes. Anyway I ordered the "Country Fried Breakfast" which came with Chicken Fried Steak and two sides. For my sides I chose sunny side up eggs and hash browns. The ENORMOUS serving of Chicken fried steak floored me! Honestly could feed 3-4 people. I could only eat LESS THAN 1/2 of the thing and had to package the rest for home! Made a great midnight snack later though! I will definitely be back, bringing friends and to sit at a proper booth. Heard about this place and been wanting to check them out for the longest—soooo glad I did!

This is the quintessential example of breakfast/brunch restaurants where the calorie limitations have been quietly removed and the flavor maxed out. It has a European leaning but also sports menu items from the south as well. It is clean efficient and one of the prime breakfast spots in Spokane. The gravy is thick, unctuous, and flavorful, the eggs Benedict in their many styles are flavorful and satisfying. One word about Pig Candy, it is thick bacon, covered with maple sugar, spices, and pepper. It is a warm, chewy and bacon confection. One word, chewy (and Devine), it is not the soft crumbly thin bacon that is served many places. If you have the time, and don't care about calories (ok, there are some healthy things there too) drop in and assuage your hunger and lift your spirits.
