We did Uber eats today 2/22/2022 and know it travled a bit to get to our house. We spent roughly 70$ to get a feel of the restaurant. There were several things to note: first, the ramen was not traditional the ingredients were in the broth (pre mixed) the egg was cooked in the broth not hard boiled as it should be. Second, the "salad" was brown and we received enough for two bites of iceberg lettuce. Third the katsu Chicken was flavorless and was drowned in something that tasted like a very bland ketchup making it soggy. Fourth, the Miso was separated and tasted like mold. Fifth the ramen while eating it we found the tails were still on the shrimp and some other crustaceous bits that were not edible. Sixth, they actually had octopus in the seafood option for the ramen this was a win! Seventh, the heart attack stuffed jalapenos were okay just very soggy/falling apart. Eighth the sushi was okay as well pretty basic. Ninth, the items lol post stickers and tempura shrimp that came in the katsu bento box were good and not pictured as I ate them first. You do get a large scoop of white rice that for me was untouched due to the katsu Chicken not being what it should of been. Tenth, the sofshell crab tempora was great overall and my favorite item, and would recommend it! My husband's favorite despite what was pointed out above was the ramen, to me it was bland which he...

I think the best way to describe the place is "a hole-in-the-wall hidden treasure." Its not what you'd expect from the outside. It's a little like Sushi Maru except its smaller in a cute way, but it still has plenty of room, and more on the mellow side, it sort of has a cozy vibe. It's great for small get-togethers with friends or family but not big group events. The food was really good, I ordered the yakisoba and it was one of the best yakisobas I've had. I also had ALOT of the sushi that came by on the belt and it was really good, each one I had I was impressed with. Before I left I ordered sushi to go and it was the Russian, normally it just has only green fish eggs on top but the women who owns the restaurant put green and red on them and said "merry christmas." She was very sweet and funny and kind to my toddler. So to brake it down (to get a clear picture of the place) Sushi Maru is more for taking a friend or a date for a quick stop to have sushi but if you dont want to wait for awhile on getting seated on busy days then Kinja is perfect. It's also for a more sit-down-and-relax with people restaurant. I love Sushi Maru but I'd definitely take my family to Kinja over it because of the vibe and quietness, Sushi Maru can be pretty packed and loud which isn't always the scene I go for other then...

I've gone to Kinja a few times with my boyfriend and we had pleasant experiences each time we went. Last night was enough to question going again.

There was a new server that was working there, and she was nice and we got seated to dine in. The fact she was new is fine, but the service we were provided was unsatisfactory. We didn't get anything to drink until about 15 minutes after we told her what we wanted to order and business at that time was very slow. The only reason she realized she forgot was after we were staring at her. What especially shocked us were the tea cups she handed to us had a brown film around the top that could be scratched off with your finger nail. We asked for different cups, and she handed the same tea cups which again had build up. She checked in again, but we told her they're still dirty and showed her and my boyfriend ended up grabbing a water bottle from my car. We got our food a while later, which was good except the kimchi was kinda bland. And our sides we ordered weren't delivered until we asked about it when she brought the entrees and the miso soup was room temperature.

Left feeling very disappointed by that. It sucks when the money you work so hard to earn and want to use for something pleasant gets met by that. Until something changes, I don't think we're...

There is no working sushi conveyor belt. It looks like it hasn’t worked since Covid. The restaurant is still laid out in a ‘Covid’ style….ready for take out only. As soon as we walked in I was disappointed but we decided to give it a shot. Monday at 5 PM and two other tables were waiting for food. Feels like you walked into a ‘out of business’ restaurant. No fountain drinks, you get cans, with cups of ice. We ordered 3 sushi rolls, and chicken fried rice. It took a while to get our food and it looked okay when it came out. But tasted off and bland. I guess the meat in the rolls tasted off…like the meat had been frozen and then thawed out and maybe frozen again? Instead of chicken fried rice, we got pork fried rice…or what seemed to be pork. It tasted more like spam. And was very greasy. The two poor employees did try to work fast and were friendly enough. It cost us $62 with tip. Super disappointing and unfortunately we will not be back.

Decent conveyor belt sushi, the basics. Same with "gyoza," a poor man's fried mandoo, which tasted suspiciously of store-bought frozen food dumplings. The place reeked of the overpowering smell of frying oil. But the worst was the alleged "ramen" off the menu-- offered with choice of chicken, meat or shrimp, I think. (I mistakenly ordered mine with chicken.) Yeah, if you consider canned chicken noodle soup ramen. The ramen noodles were overcooked, bordering on mush. They must've thrown in leftover teri chicken in my ramen. Broth was insultingly bland. Oh, btw, if you see strawberries going around on the conveyor belt, don't do it. I thought I'd poisoned myself. Place was packed, though, which proves people here don't know what Asian food is. I should've gone with the Korean menu items: bi bim bap, tofu jigae... Then again, maybe I dodged a bullet.
