I am a firm believer that there are angels that are there to help us in our time of need. Inge May from Target Optical in Mansfield was our angel. We traveled from PA to Ohio for the Basketball tournament in Mount Vernon. Our first night of games, my son got struck on the Lt side of his face by a basketball, causing the string that held the lens to break, popping the lens out and the frame was bent. I did not have an extra pair and it is imperative that he wears his glasses because he only has 10% vision in his Lt eye.
Unfortunately there were no places open at 7pm. Target Optical was 1-2 min away from our hotel so we were waiting for them to open at 9am the next morning. Inge was so polite and gracious to us. She looked at the glasses and said “no problem, I can fix them” I felt a sense of relief knowing that she would take care of everything. She fixed the glasses and my son said they fit better than they did before. Inge, you were our angel and we were so grateful that you were there to help us. Read moreLast year when I had an appt, the Dr was not nice. This time, it was like he was a completely different person. He was nice and informative and patient and personable. I don't know what happened. Maybe he found Jesus. He was great and it was a pleasure to be around him.
The woman that helped me pick out my glasses, Inge, is the same one that helped me pick out my glasses last year. She's wonderful. She is honest with her opinions. She will not let you walk out with glasses that are unattractive or don't fit your face. I told her that I was having an upcoming surgery and my income would decrease for 3 months, so there were features of my new eye glasses that I no longer could afford. She found a coupon for me that saved me $25. I almost cried. Talk about putting your customer first; that was above and beyond. I was so grateful for her kindness and thoughtfulness. She's a gem.
My only negative is that their forms are outdated, unprofessional, and need updated. If there is information on there you no longer need, then it should be removed. The font and look of the form...
Read moreAwful! My husband and I got our appointments fairly quickly, but that’s all that was fast. They never called us when our glasses and contacts came inside I had to call them multiple times. My husband had to go back in for a contact fitting and it took forever for them to schedule. Once he was there (he had to take time off work to go there) they tried to tell him they were overbooked and tried to send him away. Once he finally was seen they had to reorder his contacts because the didn’t fit right. Sent him home with a two week contact to hold him over until his actual contacts arrived. It’s been over two weeks and they still haven’t contacted him. I just called in again to check the status of his order and have to call back because they have to go thru the shipment...ridiculous! Once my husband receives his contacts, which cost a fortune, we will NOT be going back again. As much as people pay for glasses and contacts they should really receive better customer service.
