Skyline Chili — Restaurant in Springfield Township

We discovered Skyline Chili parlors when we visited Cincinnati in 2012; we fell in love at first bite and have searched Texas high and low for anything close, but alas, there is nothing similar (though we love Texas chili, as well!). We searched for recipes so we could make it at home, but nothing tasted the same. 2 days ago, my husband and I found ourselves in Ohio again, and searched out a Skyline in the area we were traveling. Eureka! We found this one! We stopped the motorhome, I dashed in and quickly ordered 2 5-ways to go, stating how much we had craved them. The service was great, everyone was so nice, and of course, the 5-ways were were packed up wonderfully for us to put together later that evening. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite, and were so excited to see we can buy the chili canned now. Hope I can cook the spaghetti the same way, as well! The people there told me to "cook the chili down to the right thickness", which is easy enough. We LOVE Skyline and have never had a bad experience! Trust me, Texans know their chili, but the Cincinnati style is a different world and wonderful in it's own right. Oh, yes, and about those Funnel Sticks!!! My husband and I were looking for a nice place to lunch when we happened upon the Skyline Restaurant. The young lady who took our order was very polite, explained a little about the the uniqueness of their chili and samples they give first time customers, it was a pleasant experience. I loved the chilli however, I'm not good with steamed buns so, after tasting my coney island hotdog I explained to the waitress when she asked how everything was, she was very polite and let me that she could get me one un-steamed. I let her know when I next return that I would that. The chilli had a nice flavor however, my husband didn't care for the flavor but loved his meal. The facility was clean. Staff very polite. I can't wait and return so that I might try other items on the menu. The pricing was reasonable also. Looking forward to a return...

I just want to say nothing but great thing’s about this great place to go. Today was my first time eating at Skyline Chili. Five star by far great people very clean environment this is the place you want to take your family, it is also the place you want to keep taking them to. The food is so good, you know they even gave me a sample, that how sure they were of their delicious dinner. All I can say is try it there’s not many places that will let you try a sample of their food unless you ask, I didn’t ask they offered and they’re not having no grand opening. They’re not having no special. This is how they treat people every day. No, I’m not getting paid. I’m not getting nothing free.
