I was on a mission that had little chance of success. My cable company has provided me with a 'self-install kit', updating my high definition cable box, replacing an outdated cable box. I need to complete the task and return the old box within 30 days to avoid charges for both boxes. I am on a timer so there is some pressure to perform. Should be simple right! Then the trouble started! My old cable box is compatible with my old Sony HD TV through the use of an YPbPr cable connection between the cable box and TV. The new cable box ONLY has a HDMI TV output connector. Ugh! Do I need to buy a new TV? I looked on-line and found that there are HDMI to YPbPr Converters available but delivery times were an issue. This is when I started my quest. I drove to Best Buy in the hope that they would have the HDMI to YPbPr Converter in store so I could then go home and complete my installation. My hopes were not high. Upon entering Best Buy, I asked an employee where I might find an item of this nature. I was very pleasantly directed to the proper department. Upon arrival in the department, an employee asked me if I needed assistance. Did I ever! I explained my plight and he took me to the area where the item might be found, if they had one in-store. Unfortunately for me, they didn't have one. The employee offered to look up in the computer system and order one for me but I declined since I could do that myself at home. Although they didn't have the item that I needed in-store, the folks that I dealt with couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I know that if I have something I need, and they possibly carry the item, I will definitely come to Best Buy to make that future purchase. Their assistance during this visit to the store will have me returning in the future. Thank you Best Buy, for your courteous employees.

Title: A Tech Shopper's Dream Come True at Best Buy Springfield!Let me take you on a journey through what might just be the most satisfying shopping experience I've ever had! Walking into the Best Buy in Springfield, I was just another customer in need of a processor. But little did I know, I was about to receive service that was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I approached the computing section, I was greeted by an exceptionally knowledgeable salesperson. Not only was he well-versed in all things tech, but his expertise on prices, discounts, and sales was downright impressive. He wasn't just about guiding me; he was on a mission to ensure I got the best deal possible. And oh, the deals we scored! Thanks to his adept skills, I walked away with the perfect processor at a jaw-dropping price, feeling like I had won the lottery. But the magic didn't stop there. I also needed a new phone mount for my car, and again, he exceeded all expectations. Instead of just pointing me in the general direction, he escorted me right to the spot, patiently walking me through each option. We weighed the pros and cons together until I found the ideal match. The cherry on top? He meticulously explained the return policy, ensuring I was completely comfortable with my purchase before we parted ways. This wasn't just customer service; this was customer celebration! To the team at Best Buy Springfield, especially my superb tech guru, thank you for turning a routine shopping trip into an extraordinary experience. You've set a new gold standard for what customer service should be!

DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR PHONES — UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST I placed an order online for a brand‑new iPhone and chose in‑store pickup. Despite ordering a brand‑new unit, they gave me a refurbished phone instead. When I brought it back next day for a refund, they asked how I knew it was refurbished and threatened to charge me a restocking fee for them trying to rob me, as a refurbished unit is hundreds of dollars cheaper than the product I paid for in full. They claimed that because the box was still sealed, it must have been new. I then showed them the screenshot below proving it was “Certified Pre‑Owned” when I tried to activate the phone. Without that proof, they were passing this product off as brand new and going to charge me a restocking fee. It felt like a deliberate loophole: they are packaging the used iPhones as new and essentially ripping off unknowing customers—by passing off pre‑owned devices as new ones. This is a new activation screen the store employees were shocked to see… It smells like a scam. The store should be investigated for fraud.

So here's my story! I planned a lengthy trip across the country for my daughter's wedding and wanted a surveillance system before I left, my mistake I bought it the day before ! I brought the product home and literally spent hours the day before and the day of my trip on the phone with their tech department . The first day two and a half hours and the second day 3 hours , we tried everything to get the system to work properly . I finally had to hang up so I didn't miss my train . I made my train by two minutes and the system still wasn't working so I had to leave my house unsecured. I was very very upset. I went on my vacation and came back 2 and 1/2 months later. A few days later after arriving home, I packed up the system and took it back to Best Buy to try to get my $100 refund back on this worthless product.

Once there, I explained the situation to the customer service rep you had an attitude, she was very condescending and snide. She said she wouldnt take it back and kept reminding me of how I should have brought it back before now, this only irritated me even more especially after I had already explained the circumstances of why I left in the first place. I gave her the phone number of the tech department and told her she could call them and that they could verify for her the date, the issue and that the product was not working but she even refused to do this . There was no offer of any type of solution or help. On our second round about again She let me know that I should have brought the product back within the refund time again and that's when I begin to get nasty back with her. I asked her what was I supposed to do miss my daughter's wedding and changed my train trip so that I don't miss your refund deadline?. There was absolutely no understanding or help coming from her. I became very upset and almost lost my temper. She said I won't help you but maybe my supervisor will. When he came over , he very quickly offered exchanged the product for one that was working and that was fine with me ! I just didn't want to have a $100 wasted on a product that I couldn't use.

You would think that under some circumstances they would make an exception . I can understand her thinking I used the product and was just trying to get my money back but when someone offers you a legitimate phone number to call, with an issue number; date, verification, etc and can confirm everything that the customer is saying then why not do it?.

Pennsylvania has the worst customer service I have ever...

Long Post Alert!! I purchased my refrigerator from Best Buy, just to save $30 (my original choice was Home Depot). However, after the HORRIBLE customer service that I received from Best Buy delivery drivers and their "manager" a woman who happens to ride with them for drop off's; I wish I would have spent the extra $30 at Home Depot, considering the lack of customer service from this delivery company! The team entered my home and measured my doorway opening. I was informed that my kitchen opening was 29.5 and my refrigerator was 29in. However, they would need an extra 0.5 inch "as per their policy", to bring my product inside my home. It was established that I would have to order a new fridge with a smaller width, because my kitchen opening was too "small" according to their policy. Because I had already paid for the "haul away" fee, I asked the team to remove my old refrigerator- which no longer works. One of the men used his grill gun to remove my old refrigerator hinges. He asked to use my step tool to get a better look at the top of the fridge. I directed him to my basement where he found my step stool. He then measured my main entrance doorway which measured 36in. He attempted to removed my front door saying "The opening is too small to fit my old refrigerator through". This was totally FALSE because my old fridge was 27in without the doors, 30in with the doors- My front door entrance measurement was 36in. Being lazy- They just didn't want to remove my old fridge- even though I paid a "haul away" fee!!!! The worker that attempted to remove my front door, he missed placed his grill gun and my father (who arrived to my house within 2 minutes of the worker misplacing his tool) was accused by him and the "delivery manager" of stealing the grill gun!!. YES stealing a drill gun! They searched my basement, kitchen, living room and dinning room. The worker finally went out to his truck and found his tool IN HIS TRUCK! This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! Also, my father's phone was taken by the delivery team "by mistake". No they took it- holding it hostage until they found their grill gun. However, they forgot to place it back on my kitchen counter once they found their tool, and drove away with his phone. I called my dad's phone after the team left and one of the worker's answered.. My entire experience was HORRIBLE- Customer Service is the worst!! And I will never buy from Best Buy AGAIN!!!! What ever delivery company Best Buy use- they...

I bought an Insignia 55" tv at this location back in March. About a month ago, while we were watching it, it just shut off. Like no power at all. We tried everything, literally everything you could think of to try to get it back on. It did not, and we didn't know exactly what happened, but we figured it died for good. So, we took the TV back to this location because we had a 2 year warranty. We were told at the time (a month ago) by a customer service person and the geeksquad worker that they couldn't help and we had to call insignia first, which seemed ridiculous because you would think with a warranty it would just be an even exchange, but we did leave. We were very disappointed that they were not helpful at all. We called insignia and they were equally as unhelpful. We then called the best buy customer service number and the geeksquad numbers (which all seemed to go to the same phone room), and we were put on hold for long periods of time, hung up on, asked the same questions over and over, and met with robotic answers and just a overall sense that nobody cares or wanted to help. We were so frustrated and confused. And when we had gone to the store the first time they had said they can't send out tvs over 50 inches. Just our luck lol. But I was fed up at this point, so we took the TV back about two weeks ago and told the person at customer service what was going on (I was basically crying from irritation at that point) and they called another person who listened and then called another person named Sunny (or sonny). He was our saving grace because he took us seriously and was the most helpful in this whole situation. He took us over to geeksquad where we met Diego who was also so amazing. They both heard my concerns and my frustration and told me not to worry, that they were going to make sure this was handled immediately. Sunny then came to our car and carried this big TV in the store himself and Diego made an exception for the size and ended up sending it out to get fixed or for me to get credit. I think I would have gone completely mad without the help of these 2 guys. So I just wanted to say how much I appreciate them and let best buy know that you need more associates like them in this world. They were so helpful and kind and made me feel listened to, heard and important. I would have never shopped at best buy again if it wasn't for them. They both need raises lol. Thank you sunny and...
