If I could leave a zero star review, I would.
While at self check out today, I turned around and asked the other cashier if their were any bigger bags, she proceeded to say no but the red ones are a little bigger for a fee. I said okay, thank you. Fast forward to 4 hours later I get a text message that is a screenshot of myself that a worker from michaels posted that says “white woman with box braids at my job????”. The person who took the screenshot informed her that I am MIXED. Not that it should matter, but clearly your employees do not like mixed or white people and have a lot to say about their appearances. Why are you photographing customers while on the clock and then posting on your social media? If you had an issue, you should have spoke up about how MY hair pissed you off. Went back to the store to speak to a manager who was useless and refused to give any information. I gave the description of the person and time of my receipt and she said she did not get to work until 4 BUT when she looked at the cameras it was only her and one other employee at that time.. so which was it since you said you didn’t get to work until 4? There’s cameras everywhere so if she truly looked, she would know. And she does know. Police were called because I refused to leave without a report or any information. Officer even stated to come back tomorrow and speak with another manager or the store manager and to contact corporate which will be done. Disgusting. Shame on your employee & so called managers. It’s 2024, it’s time to stop discriminating and hold people accountable for what they do/post - if that’s what you want to do, own up to it. This...
Read more6.13.19 I must give a BIG THANK YOU to the staff at Michael's.
I went there today to purchase frames for my sons graduation and prom pictures, a basketball banner and his certificate from Delaware County Community College for completion of his dual enrollment classes for Mechanical Engineering. After I got home to place the items in the frames I realized I left them in the cart at Michael's, so I called and spoke to an employee who looked for the items but could not find them (note: at this time I only thought I left my sons certificate and banner). As she has me on hold I prayed they would be found but they were not. I was already on my way back to Michaels hoping for the best. So, I spoke with a manager (forgot her name) who took my information to call me if they were found. I asked if I could come back and leave a lost and found note and she said yes. So, I returned the frame I purchased for the banner. About 5 minutes after I got back home I then realized I also left his pictures :-( NOW THE CRYING BEGAN. So, I called back to speak with the manager I talked with but she had left for the day. That's when I spoke to Alley. Still crying because I thought I lost his pictures Alley, tried to console me and stated she would do everything she can do help. Prayers still going up. Alley got back on the line and said SHE FOUND MY ITEMS. The most important of the items I left! His certificate and his pictures! I raced back to Michael's to retrieve my items but before I took possession I gave Alley a BIG HUG.
I cannot thank all the staff at Michael's that took the time to find what I...
Read moreI went to Michael's to pickup a couple of items to mount a small picture in a frame. When I visit the store, I always like to take a few minutes to look around the picture frame area. I'm always amazed at the items that they have to display pictures, sports memorabilia, flags and posters. Just when I think I've seen it all, they introduce something new. I finished browsing and began looking, in earnest, for things that would satisfy my picture mounting requirements. A young employee came to see if I needed any assistance. As I was describing my project, 2 loud crashes were heard, coming from a few aisles away. Glass was definitely being broken. The employee excused herself and went to check on the emergency. You never know if anyone was injured. I continued my quest and found everything that I was looking for. The employee returned to see if I still needed assistance. I showed her what I had selected and she thought that it should work out very well. I asked about the emergency. There was some broken glass and damaged frames but no one was around the scene of the accident when she arrived so thankfully, no one was injured. Apparently, this happens every now and again. I thanked the young lady for her assistance and for recognizing that someone may have been hurt by the falling frames and broken glass. Her priorities are certainly in order. I took my items to checkout, along with a 40% off coupon, on my smart phone, from the Michael's web site. An all around good trip to Michael's. I found what I needed for my project and saved 40% in...
