I recently had the pleasure of attending a beginner sewing class at Make-It-Springfield, which was hosted by the talented Jalisa Pearson. This class was a truly enlightening experience for me. Not only did I acquire valuable sewing skills, but I also had the opportunity to connect with other participants and build great relationships. Took a class to make a stained glass sun catcher. The first hour was basic history of stained glass and techniques used. The rest of the time was applying what we learned in the first hour and working with the glass to create our sun catcher. The instructor Christopher Lyons, was very patient and gave one on one help to each student in the class. Our class time actually ran over the allotted time frame, and Chris stayed so that we could all finish our projects. The class was very affordable, and included all the supplies / tools. I like this place because its accomadating to the community only problem is its in a weird spot and you really need to keep an eye out when going down worrhington. It is right next to snapchef and the convience store on the corner. Also make it Springfield has alot of great christmas stuff so if you go they have some really great workshops for the kids to get into when doing crafts.
