Owner was rude. He ruined my entire experience right to start. He has cards in bundles as a mystery pack but then said to look at the front card to decide if you want the pack or not. I found one instantly that I liked. If you’re a real collector, you’ll take the card out to see the condition of the card before purchasing. I did not care about the mystery of which cards were behind, I was interested in the front card. I took the first card out and was inspecting it for the condition of it was worth the price. 1) I wasn’t going to look at the “mystery” cards. I simply wanted to look at the condition of the first card. 2) If he did not want people to look at the card he should have said when handing the clear packs over to look through, “please don’t remove the card just view from the outside”. He does everything in bulk sales. If I’m going to buy a card I can see, I want to see the condition. I’m not going to buy a front facing card that looks OK and is overpriced because it’s “followed by mystery cards” that I don’t want without looking at it first. The owner sees me inspecting the first card, again I had no intention to look at others, and rudely says “please don’t remove those cards it’s supposed to be a mystery.” Well the front facing card is not a mystery it’s clearly visible and open to make people want to buy it. If I’m not looking at the mystery non visible cards then don’t see why I can’t inspect the card. Ruined my whole mood. I was going to buy at least 4 of these “mystery” packs because I was very much interested in the others but after that I wanted to buy nothing. Don’t waste your money buying cards if you can’t see the condition of it. At least eBay allows you to see the condition. Only rating 2 stars because we got a good deal on a slab and ETB that he unknowingly underpriced. Everything else was overpriced. Even a NBA hoops box he wanted to sell for $30 (which he “gave a deal” for $28 even though it’s $24.99 at GameStop.) Definitely shot himself in the foot because I normally don’t care about overpricing if I really like the card or people who are helping me because he ruined my mood. If he had said it to start I would’ve just stupidly taken the gamble and bought the card without seeing the back. Be more clear with your policies to start or understand the situation more clearly before you speak rudely to your...
Read moreOffered me a free pack for a 5 star review...... Short changes for trade ins. Literally got offered 50% market for a psa 10. Went to Louisvilel Sports Cards and sold it for 80% market. Bought what i thought was 6 XY Evolutions packs for $65, which i was hyped about finding a good deal. Only the top pack in the bundle was XY and the rest were $5 packs that I can find anywhere. Claims to be a licensed seller of pokemon with a distributer, yet never has product for MSRP. Brought up the fact that he sold Prismatic Evolutions ETBs at MSRP on release, but really it was just to the first 4 people in line that day LOL. Spoke to gamestop employees who said he goes in and buys a ton of product from them and then brings it to his store so he can hike up the price. They offered this info to me without me prodding for it. Is it really this hard to find people in the TCG hobby that don't try to take advantage of uninformed people? If you claim to have a distributor, there's no reason to be selling releases still being printed by Pokemon at higher than what I could find at Target. Taking advantage of people's fomo and disguising it as a noble...
Read moreThe majority of the things in there are overpriced. Also, the 'mystery packs' are just a way to overprice the front facing card while not letting you see its condition. For curiosity, I bought a few to see if the 'mystery cards' behind the first one were anything worth value.. it's just a bunch of modern set common bulk. It's literally not worth anything. So in reality, you just overpaying for the front facing card that you can't even see the condition of the card.
Secondly, the other slab and pack bundles are mostly overpriced. Not to mention, it's not a cool 'bundle'. In reality, he is just forcing you to buy an ETB with a card you want. Oh, and almost all of the bundles are temporal forces.. like at least change which ETB the card goes with instead of doing the most recent set you could literally go to walmart and buy.
Lastly, the moment he knows you're willing to spend money is the only time he starts trying to be friendly with you. He started grabbing very expensive video games to show me when he realized I was open to spending money on one of his...
