Golem's Gate has a nice layout with multiple tables for D&D or other games. They have a large selection of board games available to sit down play, including some rare ones like Fury of Dracula. They also have games, cards, minis, and dice for sale, including board games, D&D, Magic the Gathering, X-Wing, and others. The lady behind the counter was very nice - she gave us a tour of the place and let us know what nights they have different games and that there are nights for D&D intro games for beginners. They even have paint stations for two people, I believe it was $7.50 and you can use their paints, brushes, and equipment all day long to work on your minis. They even have the ability to 3D print miniatures if you send them the design. There were a few tables of gaming going on the Saturday evening I stopped in. The lady behind the counter was extremely nice and helpful and everyone there was polite and looked like they were having a great time. Will definitely be back and highly recommend you check it out if you're into any kind of...
Read moreTruly no other store is like Golem’s. I played here for about a year. I didn’t know the first thing about DND when I first came here; however through several games i played this amazing atmosphere and community they have created there taught me everything they knew about the game and shared just what makes this game so special. They have such a cool store and the DM’s there are nothing but patient. Because of this store I learned the game, and I was able to share it with my friends where I now DM. It doesn’t matter if you’re a vet or beginner, Golems Gate is by far the best store for DND players I have come across out of all game stores in the Houston and surrounding areas. Also if you get Jon Terry as a DM you are...

I've brought friends, made friends and played games I'll never forget here. Escapism through tabletop RPGs with like minded geeks and creative types is something we could all use sometimes. I won't lie and call it a cheap hobby, but its one where I continue to get more out of it than I have to put in.
This is the kind of place that really helps you find your niche and help it grow!!! I love the people, the atmosphere, and the 'Let us help you' attitude. You'll not find a finer game shop...
