McLanahan's Penn State Room — Local services in State College

I get delivery from here somewhat frequently and love to get their "hero" subs. I've never heard them called that before (is that a local thing?). Anyway, the subs are awesome and I like to throw in a few berry muffins with my order because their blueberry muffins are pretty good also. Therefore, I'd give their food 4 stars. However, I ordered some berry muffins with my order today and received [what looked like] cinnamon muffins; presumably because they didn't have berry muffins in stock. They didn't call me or inform Grubhub of this substitution before doing it. I happen to have a very minor allergy to cinnamon so threw all of the muffins out. I contacted Grubhub, who contacted Mclanahan's and received an apology and refund through Grubhub for the muffins. I'd give customer service 3.5 stars. However, I'd give their delivery system less than one star due to this potentially dangerous business practice of substituting items without asking, or even telling, the...

Shopped here many times as a student, but my best experience was as an alum. Ordered a bunch of shirts for my son for Christmas, and the one I wanted has gone out of stock since I had purchased it. When they notified me, I explained that the out of stock shirt was why I chose to purchase there and the one I wanted most. The staff was able to ship my order out without that shirt so that I would have it in time, and then quickly shipped out the last shirt ASAP as soon as it was available. Awesome...

Went here to shop as I often did. Browsed the selection. Didn't find what I want. A strong man grabbed me as I walked out the door. And accused me of stealing. Dragged me to a corner of the store and discovered I didn't steal anything. I no longer shop here. It is not cool that a large man grabbed and intimidated me. I am college aged girl and this guy was like a strong older dude. I tried not to freak out when he tried to grab me and pull me into the store. The whole thing...
