I cannot recommend this company & really wanted to give a local company my business. As an owner, they were unable to get our property that is located in Trappeurs Crossing (the property that they themselves are located) on VRBO or Airbnb. After having our property for 3 months, they were also unable to rent it. It was not visible on Airbnb or VRBO & they themselves said they did not know how to fix it and get our property visible or searchable. As a result, the our property sat vacant for the entire summer. We would have done better to have locked up our property for the summer. They charged us hundreds of dollars to “deep clean”. When asked what they did for a property that sat vacant, they said they had our brand new carpets professionally cleaned, along with our ruggable rugs (which are not meant to be professionally cleaned & were cleaned appropriately before they took over management). They also charged us $250 to apply for the short term rental license. Only after moving over to Vacasa (which is amazing), we learned that they never applied. We are still waiting for this money to be returned. Keep in mind that they could not rent without this license that they failed to get. Vacasa applied for this within the first week of taking over our property, had our property on Airbnb, on VRBO & has had our property rented every weekend since taking over as our property manager. We found Simply Steamboat to be unprofessional & unapologetically so. We never once received an apology - only excuses & blaming/pointing fingers at each other (which is hard to see coworkers taking shots at one another, instead of just owning it). I hate writing poorly about a company, but share our experience to help others who are looking for a property manager. In talking with others at our unit, we learned that other owners had similar experiences. I hope Simply Steamboat can look at this review as an opportunity to learn and get better. For now, I highly encourage owners...

Like Jessica, I have witnessed endless unapologetic buck passing. In our case it was regarding one or two day drywall repair caused by a longstanding defective roof. Months and months of promises regarding the simplest of jobs and it is still not fixed. Also like Jessica, I don’t like to write negatively about a local company, particularly since I have lived in this unit for 17 years. Still, after at least five promised dates to do this incredibly simple job over many months, with it still not done and no evident plan to get it done, I feel an obligation to warn others to avoid Simply Steamboat until they can get their act together. Like Jessica recommended, I hope Simply Steamboat take our serious complaints as an opportunity to learn...
Read moreWe stayed at the Bear Creek Lodge for our sons baseball team for the Triple Crown Sport Series. Only about half of the team stayed at Bear Creek which is a part of Trappeurs Lodge. The condo was great! Very well laid out. However, the security guys there were terrible. Some of our kids were swimming at the pool and got lectured many times for being too loud. Our boys were completely behaving. Another night, 3 adults were out on the deck and the security guy told us to be quiet. He said that we were in an upscale condo and needed to act as such. Really? Pretty sure we paid for it and we are not low income people. We had properties right next to us, being very loud and we were fine with that. The good thing is that the Bear Lodge Upscale condos are built so well that no one can hear anything inside of them. Great place to stay but the securtity condo cops need to lighten up. We paid for the supposedly upscale place and I am pretty sure we can act...
