Rocky Mountain Day Spa & Luxe Boutique — Local services in Steamboat Springs

What a terrible experience with this spa. Over two days ago I submitted a booking request on their website for two separate services and it said they would contact me in 24 hrs. That time frame went by with zero communication and so this morning I called to book a specific date to be told I wouldn’t be able to do the services I wanted. The guy said in the last day they had a booking of a group of 10 or so for that same day I needed so if they would have called me in the timeframe which they said on their website I probably could have gotten in for the service I wanted on the day I wanted. To make it worse when I called they had zero information that I had submitted a booking request online and felt like the guy I spoke with didn’t believe me. Which means they have a problem with their website. All he could do was say sorry and offer a different day. Well…that doesn’t work because I will have my kids and only had one day during our trip that could have worked where they were skiing. Skip this spa…terrible customer service before even being able to go. Getting an appointment was fairly easy by calling. Was taken to locker room to start, but no bathroom in it. Bathroom was down another hall in which you had to keep walking in front of windows looking out into parking lot. My deep tissue massage by Shushawna was awesome. Only issue was the spa was by some type of kids park and I could hear screaming the whole time. Sat in a relaxation lounge for 2 hours while waiting for facial. Had water, tea, and chocolates. Lunch and wine were delivered to me. Facial was just ok. Esthetician seemed bored, and didn't put sunscreen on to finish. What esthetician doesn't put sunscreen on you when it's sunny and 80 out? I used RMDS for my wedding makeup and hair as well as for my bridesmaids. I couldn't have asked for a better, more enjoyable experience. Sami is absolutely the best. She listens to what you want and really spent time getting it right through the trial and the day of--I felt VERY taken care of. On the day of wedding prep, all the staff of the salon were so attentive, making sure people had drinks and food and water. All of the women in my bridal party looked like models by the time we walked out of there! It was so relaxed and enjoyable and they made the morning of my wedding just so much fun.
