Saddles Lounge & Market — Restaurant in Colorado

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saddles Lounge and Market in Steamboat Springs, and I can’t recommend it highly enough—easily a 5-star experience! This gem, tucked inside the Sheraton with stunning views of Mount Werner, offers a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes or simply enjoying a fantastic meal. The club sandwich was an absolute standout—perfectly toasted bread layered with juicy turkey, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato, all tied together with just the right amount of mayo. It’s the kind of classic done so well that it feels elevated. Pairing it with the Caesar salad was a brilliant choice; the romaine was crisp, the dressing tangy and creamy, and the croutons added a delightful crunch—simple perfection. And then there were the wings—cooked to juicy, tender goodness with a sauce that hit all the right notes of spicy and savory. They were so addictive I almost ordered a second round! The service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Saddles Lounge and Market nails it with great food, a welcoming vibe, and that unbeatable location. I’ll be back next time I’m in Steamboat Springs—highly recommend...

We used to eat here every time we were skiing in Steamboat and loved the cozy atmosphere and nachos. Unfortunately, a lot has changed. They renovated the entire space and it feels like a cold cafeteria with cheap finishes, and the delicious nachos are no more. We ate there this afternoon and all I can say is that Saddles is yet another après ski restaurant taking the easy road of cheap canned ingredients like fake “queso” and pickled jalapeños dumped into a pile of mess that costs the kitchen about $2.00 to produce and you pay $30 and feel disgusted with the whole experience afterwards and wish you had just sent the entire thing back. Maybe the chef that used to be at Saddles a few years ago left or the entire philosophy of the Sheraton changed, but I just wouldn’t recommend this spot anymore. PS. First visit sat outside and ordered a beer and club soda. Tried of waiting and server not seen so I went inside got my order. After about 15 minutes server returned with drinks and I to,d him I beat him to it. Always gu e them a second chance, next time no better. Just ordered a beer and dessert. Again no beer decided to just leave but as we were leaving our server caught us and said she had my beer so we sat down again. The table next to us indicated they were still waiting for their food order and it had been 25 minutes. Their food came and they forgot the fries. 22 minutes still no dessert and the the no fries for the table next to us. Fries finally came but they were ready to leave and wanted their check, NOW.
