Let me start by saying this: if you value your time, respect, or even basic decency—do NOT go to the Target on 16 & Dequindre, especially if Ashley G is working. She is hands-down the rudest, most unprofessional employee I have ever encountered anywhere.

From the moment I approached her, she was on her personal phone, gossiping and laughing like she was hanging out with friends instead of doing her job. I politely asked for help, and she gave me this annoyed look like I had ruined her day.

Halfway through explaining what I needed, her phone rang again—and she literally walked away from me mid-sentence to answer it. And this wasn’t even work-related; she was laughing, swearing, and even said she “hates dealing with annoying customers” while I stood there, stunned. When I tried to finish what I was saying, she actually waved her hand in my face and snapped, “I’m on the phone, chill out!”

When she finally hung up, she smirked and said, “So, what do you even want?” like I was wasting her precious time. Then, another customer walked up for help—and Ashley looked at them, laughed, and walked the other way saying, “I’m not dealing with this today.”

I shop at Target all the time—well, I used to. After this disgusting experience, they’ve permanently lost my business. I’m telling friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to avoid this location entirely until Target steps up and hires employees who actually respect customers. The cashier I had on this visit was very rude. She went out of her way for the guest ahead of me but when I came through with my gift cards, her demeanor changed. She told me not to be so sensitive about a comment she made to me about using a earned gift card from the purchase made today. She belittled me in front of other guests by telling me she is sorry I’m so sensitive. I just can’t believe your employees are allowed to speak to guests in this manner. Absolutely appalling. She didn’t even care that I walked away, she still had to have the last word. Target customer service has hit a all-time low. She needs more training on when to let something go.
