I got there early for my hair cut because i didn't want to be late. As I was sitting down in the wating area she was saying something about how she follows her schedule and people need to make an appointment to get a haircut from her. I thought she was trying to tell me she couldn't see me earlier than the appointment time. I told her almost everyone's job is like that you make an appointment to see someone. Then she started saying how people are late all the time and disrupts her schedule. The way she said to me was like she is the only professional in the world people need to respect her schedule. I couldn't care less of what she was saying to me but I didn't say anything. She sounded so full of herself. Anyway, when she sat me for my hair cut, she asked "trim the sides and the back?" Then she started cutting my hair while calling her friend to chat. To me, it was very unprofessional and she was being a hypocrite. She wants her customers to behave a certain way (make an appt and not to be late for her appointment) and she doesn't behave like one. The haircut was only $25 and it only took 7 minutes. So if you average it, she charges more than $150 an hour. When you hire someone to pay that much, you expect they pay full attention to you. My hair is thick and while she was using a clipper, she was going so fast, my thick hair was clogging the clipper and it started pulling my hair. It was painful. I pulled my head to let her know it was hurting. No apologies at all. She kept going as if nothing happened. Then trimming became a very short hair cut. I didn't say anything to her then I paid and I left because I was not going to go back there ever. I am Korean and I try to support other fellow Korean people as much as I can because I know what it's like to like and run a small business in a foreign country. While I was waiting, I noticed how nice she was to a Caucasian customer smiling and paying full attention to him. I thought she was trying very hard at her job. As soon as other Korean customer sat down, she didn't smile as much. I thought you can't be nice to all customers because it can be exhausting and tiring so I tried to understand her. When she at me down for my hair cut, she was just not cool at all. Making personal phone calls, not paying attention to her job, pulling my hair with a clipper without an apology, I was quite disgusted at how she was treating me as if I don't even exist.

I am sure there are many satisfied customers but my experience with her was extremely poor and made me so angry so I am writing this review wasting my own time. I would not recommend her to no one. I couldn't stand a person like her acting like she is the only important person and disregard...

I am grateful I found a wonderful hairstylist like Ester that specializes with working with Asian hair. I first came to her for a haircut as a walk in and she washed,cut and styled it for me at no extra charge. She is very talented,kind,friendly and professional. Her salon is well maintained and modern,well stocked with natural,high quality products and equipment which I really appreciate.

I always wanted to dye my hair a lighter brown than my natural very dark almost black hair and was nervous but she was very patient with me,answered all of my questions,and worked with me until I was satisfied with my hair.

Only recommendations are to make sure you ask specific pricing for everything you want done on your hair because there is differing prices. Wish I knew this ahead of time of my appointment and that prices for services were clearly visible at the front of the salon.

I recently visited this hairdresser for a wolfcut and was extremely impressed with the outcome. The hairdresser did an amazing job following the reference photo I brought in and the cut turned out even better than I had imagined. She took the time to understand the style I was looking for and gave me valuable input on how to maintain and style the cut in the future. I asked her a lot of questions about how I can maintain the cut and she gave me a lot of advice. Her attention to detail was impressive and she made sure to make any necessary adjustments to ensure I was completely satisfied with the final result. She checked in at every step to make sure that I was still good with the direction the cut was going. I don't think I've ever had a hairdresser do that.
