I am very disappointed at a poor customer service of H-mart,Troy, especially related to the safety. Last month, I was severely injured from an accident when I visited H-mart. I got a concussion on my head and my wrist bone has been fractured as a heavy stuff has been fallen on my head. I went to emergency room and underwent a surgical operation. This bone fracture will take 4 to 6 weeks or longer to heal. After the surgery, I contacted the manager of the H-mart to report this accident and asked to deal with an accident insurance. After almost one month later, the manager of H mart replied me with an answer â âH-mart will not cover any medical expense at all because I didnât report the accident at the very day of the accident and my visit was not identified via a surveillance cameraâ. I could not accept the reasoning for the rejection. Since the injury was so severe, I had to go to ER immediately. There was no time to report the incident to the H-mart. I could see staffs only in the counter. Every staff was so busy. Nobody cared about the accident. Moreover, no surveillance camera was installed in that aisle. Thatâs why I tried to contact a manager responsible for the insurance. I tried to call her many times, left messages, and sent email to appeal my case. However, the manger ignored my phone and emails. She treated me as shameless fellow who try to make a money using the accident. She never expressed any regret about the accident. She just seemed to avoid any complication related to the...
Read moreUpdate again:2025 Please check their price at the register or with the price checker!!!! They might scam on you sometimes. The item was displayed on the shelf as being on sale(originalprice was $11.99 and sale price was $3.99), so I brought it to the register. But the original price came up, so I said Iâd like to cancel the purchase. Then the cashier got upset and threw the scanner. There are two Korean men working there, and the one with the bigger face wuth all gray hair is always unfriendly, extremely rude, and I really wish he werenât there.
UPDATE:2024 LATELY, people working at casher were not nice like they were used to. They don't even smile and seem like they don't wanna work, lol. Most of them are Mexican, and some of them are nice and professional, but not some of them at casher. They are just rude. If they have a self-ckeckout machine, it would be much better, lol please replace those un professional workers from here. Then Hmart will get back more customers right away. ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝
I appreciate I have this store near my house. The one thing I don't like is that their new mochi series are not that great. Don't think they are real Japanese mochi. I bought one of them and it was horrible. It seems like they have been in the fridge for over a year. The mochi part was too hard, and it wasn't chewy at all....
Read moreI recently had a disappointing experience at H-Mart on 4/28/24. I went in for my regular grocery shopping, and everything seemed fine until I reached the checkout line. It was a blonde young woman talking loudly on the phone speaking what it sounded like to be Spanish.
As I approached the cashier, they barely acknowledged me, avoiding eye contact and speaking in curt, dismissive tones. When I handed them my loyalty card, they snatched it from my hand without a word. There was no greeting, no smile, and certainly no attempt at small talk or customer service.
Throughout the transaction, the cashier was visibly irritated. They tossed my groceries into the bags without care, causing some delicate items to get squished.
At the end of the checkout process, I thanked them and said goodbye, but they completely ignored me. Then turned around and started talking to the employee behind her. This level of disrespect was surprising and left me feeling unappreciated as a customer.
I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but this behavior was unacceptable. A simple greeting or even a forced smile would have made a...
