I had the most amazing experience yesterday at ice imports in mystic village!! I went in to just poke around, as one does. I met the two girls at the front Alayna and I’m so sorry but I can’t remember the other girls name, but she was lovely. They were both so personable and easy to vibe and laugh with. I had my almost 1 year old with me too and he was also enjoying smiling at them and curious what they were up to behind the counter. I was looking at rings and Alayna came right over to talk to me and help me out. I’m super adhd, so I ask a million questions, don’t know what I even want, try on a million things, you can imagine how it goes lol. Alayna was not even phased, it was honestly so enjoyable figuring out what I needed with her! At some point in our conversation I told her how I wanted to stay away from a certain type of ring because the stone had fallen out on one I had gotten years ago. The owner, Eric, happened to be walking by and overheard this. He then told me that whatever I got today, they would give me another ring for free to make things even. He insisted even after I told him it was over a year ago and I really wasn’t worried about it! I ended up leaving with the cutest turtle ring, a new moonstone ring, and a stunning Labradorite ring. All of which Alayna took the time to help me find! I’m in awe of the incredible care and pure kindness from the owner and his employees. This is one of my absolute favorite shops in the New England area. I've been to the Mystic, CT location several times and it is always a great experience. The manager Colin and a very friendly woman named Alayna were there most recently and made sure we found whatever we needed while also making the experience enjoyable.

I bought the pictured sword from the online store after my first visit, I was unsure at the time of the initial visit about the pricing but I can say now with confidence that for the prices they charge, nobody will beat Ice Imports quality. This is a carbon fiber steel replica and it has all the weight of a real sword as well as accurate recreation of its appearance in the source material. The quality and attention to detail on the hilt, pommel and sheath are excellent as well and the wall hanger, also from Ice Imports, is the perfect way to display it.

The Mystic employees Collin and Amber were/are amazing!

Skippable Storytime: I had someone visiting and we went to Mystic Village. It’s a decent cluster of unique stores. Some are one of a kind, others are in a few locations. Ice imports, having multiple locations, what sets them apart is the experience, and these two employees made a huge difference!

My visitor asked to hold about 10 things, or if that was a little high, it took the same amount of time, because Collin handed them each item, took pictures for them (they wanted to send it to their friends, and share the store with them and how life size replicas were), and was very enthusiastic. I even ended up commenting that the spiritedness he was displaying was like you were hanging out with a friend, or someone who wasn’t at work, but enjoyed it. There’s love for the job there. The brand, the job, it all. Amber took care of customers, but when there was no one needing help, she was either being sweet and talking with me, or working calmly and checking on other people.

End of story? They were both very kind, and I consider them not only ideal workers, but they were so great, both my visitor and I ended up taking business cards and have bought from Ice...
