Deviant dÄâČvÄ-Ént. adjective. Differing from a norm or from the accepted standards of a society. How perfectly defined @deviantdonuts Open: year round Seating: indoor and outdoor Parking: Off-street Order: 1/2 dz donuts is around $25 Bonus: Nestled in the cutest outdoor shopping area, you can spend some time here strolling around after brunch.
Pros: Worth it. Worth every penny. Worth every calorie. Worth every minute in the car. Worth bringing 3 other people with you, grabbing lattes, and having a bomb brunch on a random Saturday. All of the flavors were insanely captured on each donut (HOW MULLED WINE?!). For fun we put down a vote to see how we all agreed and to help out anyone trying to pick just one Donut to try. 3 votes for the sweet potato casserole as the best donut we've ever had. 1 vote for the Samoa donut as the greatest. A top contender was the London Fog. We overall recommend the entire experience of a half dozen culinary tour of this place. To be guaranteed the ones you want, you can place your 1/2 dozen order on Monday once the menu drops and just select your future day and time to pick up.
Cons: I know I don't NEED to eat them all by myself. And I know I SHOULDN'T eat all of them alone. But if I didn't bring people with me to share the donuts, I wouldn't have been able to stop. Warning: There is no "I'm just going to have one and bring the rest home." The only thing worse than being the most addictive donuts ever (4 out of 4 votes) is that they keep coming up with ridiculous...
Read moreVisiting from out of town and kept seeing ads for this place. So glad we waited until today to try them because it was the start of their "Best of" weekend menu. My kids both ordered moose tracks and I never got to try this one because they ate theirs so quickly. It was a brioche donut covered in peanut butter glaze topped with crumbled peanut butter cups and a chocolate covered moose-shaped cookie. The Nanaimo donut was fantastic! It had a little pecan brownie bite on top which was fudgy and delicious. The brioche donut was perfectly light and the chocolate ganache was sticky and not too sweet. I'd say the white chocolate mousse filling was just ok (a little bland), but overall the donut was outstanding. The strawberry French toast donut was my favorite! The maple strawberry filling was light and perfectly sweet. The cream cheese frosting on top really brought all the flavors together and made this one stand out. I tried a couple bites of my husband's coffee cake fritter, which was also excellent. A crispy, crunchy outside; delicious glaze with a nice crumble on top; and coffee cake drizzle throughout the inside.
We got there at 7:30 right when they opened and there was already a short line but it moved quickly. Everyone was very friendly. I'd definitely come back here if I was local but only occasionally since they are...
Read moreWe had your amazing donuts the last time we were in Connecticut, and they were unforgettableâtruly some of the best we've ever had! So when we planned our recent visit back to CT, the very first thing we ordered was another box of your incredible donuts. We were so excited to pick them up on Sunday.
Unfortunately, our plans changed and we had to leave Connecticut a day earlier than expected. The owner called to kindly remind us about our order, and I shared how disappointed we were that we wouldnât be able to pick them up. I asked that they please give our order away so someone else could enjoy them.
To my surprise, the owner called back just five minutes later to let me know she had refunded our card. She absolutely didnât have to do thatâit was such a kind and generous gesture, and truly supreme customer service.
We're honestly so upset we didnât get to enjoy these delicious donuts again (I even checked online to see if you ship!), but weâll 100% be back on our next trip. This is the kind of small business you feel good about supportingâdelicious products and even...
