My wife and I went the other night for the first time. We were told by friends to call ahead for the seating wait list. Good thing we did, once seated we saw people getting turned away at the door left and right. This is a good sign though as the weather was horrible and showed people still coming out to come here. We were promptly seated at a long table. Our waitress was talking to another couple at the other end. We got our menu's when she finished her conversation and then sat for quite some time waiting to order drinks and apps while she continued to talk to this other couple. I can assume they were either regulars or family or something of the sort. We eventually got drinks and apps in. The drinks were very tasty and they have quite the offerings. For an app we got the Griddled cornbread. 5 stars for that all day, absolutely outstanding. We then placed our order in reasonable time. My wife got the western burger, I got one of the specials, a beef gyro. My wife said her burger was great, as was my gyro. Both of our fries though were unseasoned so we asked for some salt. The waitress said no problem she would be right back, and instead continued another long winded conversation with the couple at the other end of the table. At least if I didn't see her talking I could chalk it up as ah its a busy night she probably got side tracked, but this was not the case. We finished, saltless fries and ordered the cinnamon pretzel bites for desert. Very tasty. Bill was competitively priced I feel for a similar meal in the area. I feel with a different waiter/waitress this could have been a 5 star review. I will return as the atmosphere was great, everything was clean, and the food was very...

I've been here quite a few times and always had an enjoyable experience but was dissapointed by my visit with two friends today 15APR22.

We got put on the wait list and was told it'd be about 15 minutes and they'd give us a text, so we decided to walk around the shops nearby. Time passes and at this point we think we've misheard them and that they said it was 50 minutes.

We go up to check and they just completely removed us from the list with no texts or anything. We get seated outside and order drinks, however she just decided to give me club soda with lemon and lime instead of the sprite I asked for and the waitress said as much.

Rest of the drinks for the table were fine when they did get there so we order a starter and that comes out great, though we'd already gotten through it by the time the waitress figured we needed plates, about 15 minutes after someone else brought us the food.

Another 15 minutes go by and we order all our food, including a secondary starter. We get our entrees and one of my friends food was made incorrectly, but we just let it go at that point. I ask that our other starter is checked up on and we received it not long after we finished our entrees so we packed it up in a box.

I'm not sure if today was just not the best day or if they're hurting for staff or something, but I was just generally dissapointed at the service as we've always gotten great service and food from here. I'll be returning, but I hope they hire another server or something to help out as the other tables around us didn't seem too pleased with the...

Friendly service, good food and a fun atmosphere. My wife and I are locals and went there again for an early dinner. Our server was Jessica "J". Professional and very friendly, The GM, Dillon came over and conversed with us a couple times. He was friendly and made us feel welcomed. It was nice enough to sit outside and the atmosphere was fun with large groups of friends playing various games and enjoying frosty beers. The crowd looked like 30 somethings and over all nice people. OK NOW THE FOOD - We had the Veggie Burger which was really cool because it was that NEW engineered PLANT base burger that tastes like meat. We heard about it but it was our first time trying it. Definitely tasted like meat but to me it was more of a pork-like taste than beef. CAUTION - If you "like" veggie burgers - you may not like theirs because it taste so much like real meat... We had a side order of Belgium frites. I had the Cubano pork sandwich with a side of their New GERMAN POTATO SALAD. Dillon said they recently added that item to the menu and it was KILLER GOOD!! It was like regular German potato salad on steroids with nice chunks of red potatoes marinated in a vinaigrette dressing with man-size bits of bacon. YOU GOTTA TRY IT!! If you eat outside and lucky, friendly little baby ducks come over from the nearby pond will come to your table and...

Lovely place in Olde Mistick Village to get craft beers, good food, friendly service, and a fun, laid back environment. We hit up the Sunday Br...Unch (see the menu and you'll understand) and enjoyed an array of dishes including out-of-this-world Eggs Benedict, haus-made bratwurst, Schnitzel, and some of the better wings you'll find in the area. But the real treat was their bottomless Mimosas (in a variety of tasty flavors) and the absolutely best Bloody Mary Bar ever! The "build your own" bloody mary station had all of the usual veggies like celery and olives. And then they kicked up a notch and put it on steroids with maple bacon, pepperoni sticks, anchovies, mushrooms, carrot sticks, peppers, spices, hot sauces galore, onions, more olives, pickles, cucumber sticks, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting as well. The Jealous Monk also has a whole wall of board games to choose some fun ways to pass the time.

Jealous Monk is a beer hall and garden located in the Olde Mistick Village. The interior is spacious with high ceilings and long tables. The outside patio is also spacious with plenty of seating. There are dozens of rotating draft beers, cocktails, and wine. They also have a good selection of food; from pretzels, burgers, wings, and more. I'm a fan of craft beer so I had to stop in. I love that it is kid friendly too. We ate outside on a beautiful summer evening. Our server was friendly and attentive. I had the red sangria which was good. We started off with the buffalo chicken crab rangoons which were decent. They had lobster rolls on the menu so I had to order it. I love the cold style; it's mixed with mayo on lettuce and a buttered bun. They loaded it with lobster meat. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our meals and drinks! I highly recommend!

I wanted to see what the hype was with the large crowd of people dining at this restaurant. They have a good amount of choices of craft beers (local and out of state). They also offer wines and hard liquors. They have some delicious appetizers and I got myself corn bread. This type of corn bread isn't your typical corn bread. It looked like french toast at first. It was very delicious. Its phenomal that to find these amazing and creative cooks out there and showcase their work on these dishes. I also had their homemade bratwurst. It was huge but delicious with their side of fries. Fries were crunchy the way I like them and the tenderness and juices in the bratwurst. I recommend this place to have a good time and share stories together and watch sports on the screens. There are various TV screens throughout the restaurant.
