Main Street Soap Emporium — Local services in Stonington

We stopped into the store on a Sunday afternoon after breakfast in the area. The store smells fantastic and they have so many wonderful products. There's a sampling table in the center of the store and you can smell and try everything they have. I really appreciated this because I'm very picky about my scents. I can't stand things that are too strong or too floral.

All the products were reasonably priced and I picked up a body lotion and body lotion stick. I love the subtle notes of ocean and beach in the scene...

I love their lotions and all of the products make a great gift, but at a price. There's expensive and then there's EXPENSIVE. I will say that the products last awhile and are of great quality, but I just can very rarely justify the price. To get someone a gift, I tend to want a couple different items to make a basket/bag... and that will easily run you $60++. Staff have usually been knowledgeable on the products and helpful. Products smell great and I love the ones...

I was given a soap from here as a gift and I was excited to try it because I know this place is really expensive and not somewhere I would shop for myself. It was pretty to look at but smelled a little strange, and after using it for only a couple days I broke out in a horrible rash all over my hands and wrists. Maybe it’s fine for most people but definitely stay away if you have even slightly sensitive skin!! Not worth the hundreds of dollars in...
