I previously left a 2-star review for White Diamond, but now I am editing it to a higher rating after receiving the product that we ordered. They gave us a decent quality product for literally half the price of other jewelers. Communication is not the best and it took a lot longer than they initially promised, but we would probably go back to them again.
Details below...
My previous bad review was because the communication with Harry and his staff was pretty awful throughout this process. They consistently gave me deadlines that they did not meet and could not deliver on the promises they made initially. When I'd call to check on things, they would placate me with "I'm personally working really hard on this" and "I promise I'll call as soon as I have more information." The only time that they actually called us when they said they would was before we had put down a deposit when they were still trying to make the sale. Not going to lie, there were moments where I was scared that they were somehow scamming us.
HOWEVER, I've had a bit of a change of heart after receiving the final product. We gave them a pretty challenging custom job- I had an engagement ring set in silver that I wanted to be replicated in yellow gold with a wedding band to match. The quotes we got for this work from places like Jared, Kaye and Zales were over DOUBLE the price that Harry gave us, AND Harry basically threw in my husband's wedding band for free. To be clear, we could not have afforded to get these rings if it weren't for Harry and White Diamond. And the rings are gorgeous! There are a couple of minor issues with the quality which probably wouldn't have occurred at a more mainstream jeweler, but I'm really the only person who will notice. Overall we are thrilled with...
Read moreI wear clip earrings due to past keloids. Three of my favorite pairs simply needed to be reattached to the links; one link for one earring in the set of three. The owner first said $60, and when I quickly hesitated, he said, "alright, $50!" I needed one of the earring sets that evening, and the other jeweler directly across from him (whom I had spoken with earlier by phone) had closed. He said he would be done in 20 minutes, and when asked if he could replace additional links in one set, he quickly stated, "no need!" Not cool. We returned, and all looked good, but not worth $50! I could have purchased another three new pairs of quality clip earrings. I could afford to give him the extra money, and actually felt they needed it! However, the owner was clearly nothing more than a "SHYSTER -- a person, who uses unscrupulous, fraudulent, or deceptive methods in business." I wore one pair to the event that evening, and looked forward to writing this post....
