My boyfriend Shan posted below and was called rude for yelling at Prasanthi, however, I was muted on the call and he did not yell at her. He had contacted the store during business hours and spoke to Munish and after speaking with him she called us back. And that is when Prasanthi and my boyfriend spoke. And an email from Prasanthi was sent to me tell me again the designer was out sick. That happened at least every time I spoke with her. We understand that people get sick, however, when you promise someone a deadline, I would assume you would meet that deadline. I spoke to their custom design jeweler on Thursday, which I mind you was only because of our intense conversation with Prasanthi and Munish the night before, and he said he would have my design ready by 4 pm latest that day. It was 6:00pm and I get a call from the designer with another excuse that my design is so intricate that he was not able to finish and he will stay late and work on my design so I can have it first thing Friday morning. Okay thats fine, I understood my design was intricate so I told their designer it is fine, I will wait till Friday morning. Then Friday rolls in and half the day has gone. I still haven't heard from their designer or Prasanthi. So I again called myself to Prasanthi on her cell phone and she did not answer, so I called the store, someone answered and I asked to speak with Prasanthi, they said she is with a customer, thats fine, I understand that as well, so I left a message with the person who answered my call and I asked them to have her call me ASAP and it is important. Friday ended as well, with no return call. By then I was done with them and their excuses, so I was not interested in her calling me back Saturday. I have initially went to their store before Thanksgiving, and we were impressed by Prasanthi's customer service, I told her I had my own design in mind and she said no problem we can design it for you. And I even told her that I live in Dallas and my boyfriend lives in Houston, but majority of your dealings will be with me, so will I have an easy time communicating with you and being able to get this design done, of course she said no problem, we are good with communicating and getting this done. So we were happy to hear that. I come back to Dallas after Thanksgiving and kept in touch with her cause we were interested. She was good with responding and helping in the beginning, then started slacking. Every time I called, her designer was either out sick or out for lunch. So after these excuses for about 2 weeks, I got tired and kept telling my boyfriend to lets take our business elsewhere, but he was adamant and wanted to go with Plaza Jewelers because he learned so much from them with our visit to the store. So I tried to keep in touch and get the design made, but again and again it was one excuse after another. Finally he got tired of it too. We clearly asked them if you are not able to take this on, please tell us right now so we can go elsewhere, but they were like we will get it done for you, but of course that did not happen. At this point I will definitely be taking my business somewhere else, someone who will actually be able to design my ring without excuses and have it ready for us when we need it. PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE YOU ARE APPRECIATED AND NOT JERKED AROUND. WITH PLAZA JEWELERS ALL YOU WILL GET...
Read moreI gave them 2 stars because they did resize a ring that wasn’t easy ! I took in a new ring that I recently bought and I needed it sized up and most places were hesitant because they were worried it would loosen the prongs and make the stones not secure! I understood this and I paid extra for the jeweler to check the ring and make sure the stones were secure. They do the job I pick it up and I ask the gentleman if he had gone over and checked the prongs and was told yes. Ok I go out that night and I lose 2 stones! Mind you I’ve worn multiple rings(pinky on both hands and a large ring on both hands) daily for over 20 years. I am very conscientious of my jewelry and I make sure I don’t bang them on things or anything that would cause damage. Ok they are very small stones I have replacements from buying jewelry and having them turned into custom pieces. I walk in and the older lady I spoke to is immediately very defensive. I told her that I had only worn them one evening and I hadn’t asked for anything just telling my story. And she starts berating me that it’s my fault and I was not careful. I told her I paid extra to have the prongs checked afterwards and she tells me that they did. When I asked how could they be that loose if they were checked? She tells me they put the ring in a vibrating cleaning machine for 30 minutes and if nothing falls out then they are satisfied! Now what did I pay extra for? They would have done that basic step without me paying extra! Now I’m mad I’ve been not only lied to by the jeweler but I had been taken advantage of! If I knew they wouldn’t have checked the prongs like I paid for I would have taken it to my jeweler (who was out of town the days I was looking to get it resized and I was being to rushed because I wanted to wear my new toy) I figured I would ask if they would have set the two missing stones with the ones I had in my collection so it would of only been minimal labor and not have cost them anything else but before I could approach the subject this lady tells me it would cost me more than the resizing and I’m talking about 1 or 2 pointers that cost next to nothing. I admit that this situation happened in January and I was going to leave this review then but I am busy with my businesses and family and I have not been wearing my large rings much in the past 6 months because I have been working with my hands setting up my new store front. But yesterday I put my jewelry in my own vibrating cleaning machine and I was about to pour out the dirty water and I remembered the missing stones so I stop and look at my ring and see it’s missing another stone which I found at the bottom of my machine. So I’m mad and I decided to take the time to leave this review!!! To be charged more for work not done and then to be immediately treated like that is beyond disrespectful especially when I own a customer service business I couldn’t imagine treating a customer much less a unhappy customer in such a way!! I thought I found a new jewelry store because I buy jewelry for myself and my family at least once a quarter if not more often but I would not spend a penny here ever again and when ppl ask me where I would recommend I tell them here or there depending on what budget they have but I tell them no matter what do...
Read moreUPDATE TO RESPONSE FROM OWNER : I uploaded text receipts. When we visited the store October 12, I requested a peach sapphire with pink tones and showed you pics. You said you'd get with the gem supplier and send a few options to have 2 or 3 on memo for us to see in person. You texted a few days later that you research red sapphire and I must've meant a ruby. When I clarified and sent 4 videos and said peach or blush to show what I meant, you said you'd look for pink sapphires with red tones and I just went with it.
You sent 3 stones total within that same week. One was fuchsia and another very pink. The last I liked and I wanted to see in person and you said you'd get it on memo Oct 18. I messaged Oct 22 asking how many could we see at a time just to follow up on timeframe. My fiancé followed up NOVEMBER 4 and we never heard from you again :)
We communicated for less than 2 weeks, and we waited almost a month before giving up after no response. 1 star feels appropriate for a business never following up or responding to a customer on something very important that they were excited about, and especially now where you are changing the narrative for what happened. lol you're still saying red sapphire and I never requested that.
ORIGINAL: Store must've moved because it looks nothing like pics I've seen on Google when we visited. We came for a custom ring and I sent pics and videos for what I wanted as the center stone. It took a while to find a suitable stone…first told me I wanted something else and I clarified, then sent pics of stones that were still not what I asked for, then when we found one that might work and waited for pricing we heard nothing. A week later I asked when we when we could see it in person, he said he was still working on getting it on memo…then 2 1/2 weeks later we followed up he ghosted. Wasted our time here and it really set us back time wise, I wish we didn’t rely on them and I'd never recommend anyone else to either. When we initially visited there wasn’t any real consultation, sizing for me, timeline, etc and that should’ve been...
