My husband, my two young girls(4&6), and I came here to eat dinner a few days ago to get a break from the power outage. I had been craving pho and our usual spot was unfortunately still out of power. My husband ordered a rice dish, I ordered a pho dac biet for myself, and two kids pho bowls for my girls. First, it took forever to get water and we didn’t get any refills. My husbands rice plate came out 15min before our pho which is unusual bc pho usually comes out first(not a dealbreaker though). When our pho finally came, my soup was lukewarm at best, did not cook the raw meat they put in and became cloudy. I asked for more limes and they did not bring that out until the end of the meal. I also asked for 2 forks for my girls bc they cannot use chopsticks and that was all that was at the table. No forks show up. We go ask the lady who is very diligently filling up cups of water for new customers, she says okay and literally goes back to filling waters up(while we get no refills.) Finally, I flag down another waitress bc they all seem to be studiously ignoring us and I tell her we’ve been waiting on forks for the entire meal, and it’s been at least 20min. She is a little huffy, goes to the table behind us which seems like an employee table(the very back one) pulls out 2 utensil packs and throws them at me. Mind you, this is our first time ever to this restaurant so had I known I could grab some from another table, I probably would have done so myself. My youngest doesn’t eat her pho bc at this point it’s cold. My oldest basically ate hers with the soup spoon, and my husband finished his rice plate before we even got our pho. Not one waitress came to check on us until apparently the end of our meal.(I was in restroom with a daughter). Funny enough, when we asked for our check, she went and got it immediately🤨
So to sum it up, food was subpar and service was beyond abysmal. Will not be...
Read morePho Saigon just opened! We were so excited to have a new pho spot to go to nearby.
We ordered the pho tai, goi cuon (spring rolls), mi bo kho (beef noodle soup), com ga nuong w/egg roll and fried egg on top, and soda chanh.
Pho tai (took out all the toppings for my kiddos): They gave us smaller bowls and scissors so we could cut the noodles and meat too if we wanted. They had a kid sized bowl but I wasn't sure how much my kids were going to eat so we ordered a small (adult sized) bowl. The kids demolished it.
Spring rolls: loved it! We requested for it to be no veggies inside (just our preference). Those were eaten and gone within seconds.
Mi bo kho: loved how tender the meat and carrots were. I haven't found a restaurant nearby that served this dish so was super excited to see it on the menu and not have to drive to Chinatown for it
Service: Holly was an amazing server for our tables! Everyone was so sweet and our food came out pretty quickly. Considering it was day 2 of their soft opening and we had a party of 9 while they had a lot of other tables to attend to as well, I was impressed. I could tell some of the staff was still getting the hang of some things, but since they just opened, that was to be expected.
Decor: loved the thought that was put into the design. My youngest just got out of the diaper stage, but as a mama, I greatly appreciated that there was a well thought out diaper changing station / space in the bathroom too. Very spacious and modern throughout the restaurant. The booths were spacious and good for big parties/groups.
Will definitely be bringing my...
Read moreThis is an updated review. Been coming here multiple times a month since they opened. This location has a nicer than most Atmosphere and they also consistently have great Food. However, I found out after walking in for dinner on this visit, that apparently 30 minutes prior to their "listed/posted" closing time, they will not seat you and only accept to-go orders.
SERVICE: VERY DISAPPOINTED that we arrived at the stroke of 8:30pm, it took several minutes for staff to attend to us and when I requested a table, the staff member said, we're only doing to-go orders.
The dining room still had a good number of tables being served (on a Saturday night) so I would think that as a business, why not seat a small table of 2 people when the customers arrived well within your hours of business. It's not like we walked in 10 or 15 minutes before "YOUR" closing time but even if we did, don't you want the business?!?
I want to assume that our experience was just a miscommunication of the interpretation between management & night staff as for a "30 minute rule" but if not, ya'll should adjust your listed/posted business hours to avoid pissing off customers.
Kinda got the feeling that night staff may have taken a few extra minutes to come to the front so that they could tell us at 8:32pm that they were no longer seating customers and could only do take-out. Doesn't make sense in my opinion but needless to say we walked out after the bad...
