I visited the Summerville South Carolina location of Home Depot on July 10th 2022 with a good friend of mine; it was slightly before closing on Sunday. I have visited and also reviewed this location in the past. This particular trip I must say was rather enjoyable, better than expected, and what brick and mortar retail shopping should be like. My friend and I entered the location to purchase a specific item. He wasn't aware that there is a clearance rack, and in case any of you don't know that, there are actually several and a store associate I'm sure would be happy to point you in the direction of where they are at the particular Home Depot you visit. Regrettably this visit there wasn't anything that caught either of our eyes on the clearance racks so we proceeded to head to the aisle which had the item he was there to purchase, which was in stock , and was priced like it said online. Now some of you may be wondering what's so exceptional about this particular trip it sounds kind of slightly above average thus far and we all know how things go lately with some places you know what I'm saying people but I'll tell you what makes this particular visit to this particular Home Depot spectacular. What makes it stand out and apart from other visits at this particular location and other fine retail establishments in the Summerville area is the fact that from the moment we walked in the door we were promptly and politely greeted asked politely but non intrusively if we needed assistance and thanked for being a shopper no lie I almost dropped dead seriously but not seriously dead but you know. Every encounter with a store associate was wonderful ,courteous ,and appreciated .Most importantly unsolicited and the one time we thought we might need to ask somebody something there was an associate right there. I'm terrible with names so unfortunately I can't call them out by name but the two ladies working in the paint department and there were t w o gentleman as well and two Associates while we were checking out. Guys gals and attention Home Depot shoppers job well done thank you it is...
Read moreThe only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of Aaron. He basically fixed everything that happened to me ordering a mini fridge. I was almost hacked by going on the page I was ordering from to order the mini fridge and downloaded the Home depot App . Don't ever do that always go to your play store. So it said I would get 25% off for downloading the app. When I downloaded it sent me a thing to put all my credit card information in. But didn't have anything about the fridge or the 25% off they were going to give me. So I decided to call corporate I would not fill it out. I called corporate and they said I was being hacked, that they don't offer that. And also never to go and get an app from your page you're buying from. Always go to your Play Store. Anyway it took every bit of till the 9th for my fridge to get here and when it did. I called down there to see when I can come and get it. The first person William was very rude . So I call back and talk to Terry about Williams rudeness. He says he does not have an employee named William. Anyway he said he does not have my fridge there yet. I wait a while and call back and get Aaron and tell him about the trouble I've been having . When my confirmation is saying it has arrived. Aaron says they got a truck in but hasn't been unloaded he will call me back he calls me back, and says yes it's here the that I can pick it up tonight I told him I can't come tonight I will be there in the morning. He says it will be ready. My dad had no trouble when Aaron was in control. He pulled up and Aaron put it in the back of the truck. When we got it back to the fifth wheel. What it was going in .We took all the box and styrofoam from it and notice there is a big dent on the side of the door that protruded out in the front of the door. I called Aaron and told him and he said let me call you back and see if I can get you something back on it. Home Depot gave me 50% off. It was all because of Aaron. Aaron I give you five stars ☆☆☆☆☆ You are the VIP!!! YOU SEEM TO BE THE ONLY ONE THAT KNIWS WHATS GOING ON AT THAT STORE THANK YOU, AARON...
Read moreBeware: I was a customer who purchased 4 appliances 3 of which was installed and delivered by Darryll Flood Logistics a 3rd party delivery service operating out of Austin Texas which home depot hired to service their customers. I paid for installation on home depot site for this company to install a oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. 1st install the 3rd party could not disconnect the oven so had to hire someone else to detatach the gas pipe so that the 3rd party could come back and install the oven 2nd the dishwasher was sent back twice due to damages 3rd while trying to install the refrigerator they scratched the panels on my flooring. When they returned to install the dishwasher they did not have the tools I paid for to connect the dishwasher so this too was a unfinished install. After they left I was getting ready to prepare dinner only to find my feet in a puddle of water. They did not plug the drain back up so my kitchen cabinets and flooring was flooded...now I have water damage to my flooring and cabinets. I was told to put a claim in for each, to which I did and after being bounced from Home Depot then to Sedwick and then to Progressive insurance only to find out that their insurance was canceled a week before my damages and this all happening between June thru August 2024 and still pending. I'm posting this so that customers know what questions to ask before they have some delivery company out of Austin Texas that has no insurance coming into your home and destroying and damaging your home. We did not hire your 3rd party company you all did so your customers should not have to deal with these unprofessional company. So much for having a beautiful and happy experience to update...
