First and LAST time i will ever be eating here. Called at 10:30am to make a reservation for 12 however I was told that they do not take reservations and instead i could go to their website and join the waitlist that way we would have a guaranteed table without having to wait at the restaurant. After i hung up i went to the website to join the waitlist where it said there was a 45-60 min wait i waited until 11 to join the waitlist since we wouldn’t be able to make it until closer to 12 and i didn’t want to risk missing our table. After i joined the waitlist at 11am i received a text confirmation that said “CHECK-IN WHEN YOU ARRIVE at First Watch - Summerville to confirm your place in line. See you soon!

Text "cancel" if your plans change.” At 12 o’clock we arrived at the restaurant after waiting exactly 1 hour and once we got inside were told that there would be an extra 15 minute wait, we didn’t mind having to wait another 15 mins we understand it’s busy and things happen…. However after waiting an extra 30 minutes at the restaurant without being seated or even being acknowledged we began to get extremely frustrated i asked the host how many people were still ahead of us and she told us there was still 3 parties waiting ahead of us. We decided to just sit and wait it out since we had already been waiting for an hour and a half at this point. Finally at 12:40pm (1 hour and 40 mins later) we were sat. We ordered as soon as our waitress got to our table since we had a lot of time reading over the menu and deciding what we wanted while we waited. Our waitress was very friendly and took our full food and drink order she came over a few minutes later with our drinks and told us then she would now go put our orders in….. after waiting now 30 minutes for our food to arrive we asked the waitress how our food was and she then said she would check on it (mind you there was only 2 of us and we both got very simple plates. We also saw other tables that sat and ordered AFTER us receive their food before us…) after 40 mins of waiting at our table our food finally came out and i was extremely disappointed my eggs were raw i usually enjoy an over easy egg however this egg was rushed the egg whites were still clear and running and my eggs were falling apart when i tried to scoop it up, my partners bacon was extremely over cooked and our side of biscuits and gravy came out about 5 mins after our main food did. Overall after waiting 3 hours to eat at this restaurant i was extremely disappointed and will never be returning i was very excited to try this new place out as it is always busy and looks very good but unfortunately this first experience really put a bad taste in my mouth. If you want to eat here i recommend going extremely early or...

I would have given this a 5 star based on the food and our waitress but unfortunately the hostess at the front desk today ruined the rating. Let me first say that I am very understanding of how difficult the restaurant businesses are these days but that does not give any worker a reason to be down right rude! This was our first visit here and checked in with the hostess who said it would be a 20-30 minute wait. We were ok with that as it was busy. As we were waiting. The Lady next to us went up to check where she was in order and I overheard the hostess apologize and say that the order was all messed up and that they would be next. So after another 15 minutes people were coming in and being seated. I then approached the hostess and she said that we were third. Great we thought. 1,2,3,4 come in and still we aren’t seated. A couple came in and started talking to the hostess and he asked how long the wait was. Her response was, “you can sit over at the community table, that’s open”. Well why weren’t we offered that or the other two couples that were there before us .. I then went to the hostess once again and very nicely started to ask how this all is being managed. Also another lady who was there before me came up at the same time to inquire. At that moment the hostess in a very loud and frustrating voice said, “ please be patient I am doing the best I can and this is frustrating”. “You are given a table number when you check in and when that table is ready you will be seated”. Wait, what???? At that moment I walked away while everyone next to me was shocked by her reaction and I said to my husband how rude the hostess was. She had overheard me and yelled back in front everyone “that she wasn’t rude” then turned to the next person and said she is rude with people like me!!! Wow, if it wasn’t for the fact we were starving and had waited an hour and had a three year old with us we would have left. let’s get back to the check in and assigned a table number. I can’t believe this is even true and if it is this is crazy. So if we check in and are assigned table 10 and table ten people decide to sit around for two hours chatting I have to wait because I was assigned that table while others coming in after us get seated. If that is your policy you need to revisit your checkin in policy. This is long enough but you need to review some of your posts about your front end and fix this person. The hostess is the first and last person you see and should be kind to all even if it is busy. On another note our food was amazing and our waitress...

Do not recommend this place. Horrible customer service!!!!! A coworker and I submitted a to go order like we do often. I went and picked up our food and drove back to the office. When we open our bag we were missing an order. I drove back to First watch. I called constantly from when I left my office until pulling up and no one answered the phone. When I walked in I advised them that I did an online order and what was missing. The hostess said oh your food wasn’t in your bag. I stated no ma’am or I wouldn’t have come back if it was. she said let me go find out for you. She walked to the kitchen and came back with my salad and just handed it to me and said sorry. I had to ask for a bag, ask for silverware, and at that point I had no idea if my toppings were at my office as they didn’t give me any and said they were in there. I then asked to speak with a manager. A man came out I will not call him a gentleman because he was far from that. He proceeded to tell me that he knew why I asked for him. He said that he asked his kitchen staff why the Togo salad was there. I proceeded to share my frustration with him that I had to drive a lot just to get my food. I advised him that I was in customer service and he stated that his wife was in customer service and she would never act like I was acting. I have integrity and I was nice but very assertive as I was NOT in the wrong but the manager tried to use the situation to manipulate me and make me feel like my being upset was not ok totally dismissing the fact that I am the consumer and First Watch was in the WRONG! I had to then ask him for a refund he put a piece of paper on the hostesses stand instead of handing it to me and advised me to call that number if I wanted a refund. I then stated I would be leaving a 1 star review and he stated that he didn’t care about my 1 star review. Wow. I then said thank you have a nice day. No comment back and I said your welcome and the manger said your not welcome! This is NOT customer service. I am the consumer and was not in the wrong at all! I was clearly not happy but respectful I was not yelling or screaming. This man told me I needed to calm down. I would not eat here! Horrible...

I had the pleasure of dining at First Watch Cafe in Summerville this weekend and I was very impressed. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. I started my meal with the pumpkin pancakes, which were the fall special. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and the pumpkin flavor was perfectly balanced. I also had the eggs and chicken sausage Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at First Watch Cafe. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot in Summerville." Here are some specific details about my experience that I would mention in the review: * The service was friendly and attentive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful recommendations. * The food was fresh and delicious. The pumpkin pancakes were my favorite, but everything I tried was good. * The atmosphere was inviting and relaxed. It was the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or brunch. I would also mention that First Watch is a great option for people with dietary restrictions. They have a wide variety of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at First Watch Cafe and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot in Summerville.

We placed an order through the First Watch website. It gave us estimated pickup time of 10 minutes. Took the 15min drive to have to wait another 20 minutes. Our food looked like scraps put together in to-go boxes. The biscuit was not only over cooked, but burnt. The lemon ricotta pancakes had maybe 3 pieces of strawberries, and absolutely no cinnamon sugar powdered sugar... leaving us disappointed with our meal . Our million dollar bacon was 2.5 slices. The million dollar potatoes were missing bacon altogether, and we didn't receive the side order of sausage to complement our pancake order. Our slip on the bag said that " expo" checked our order... after spending 55.00 and tipping cash on take out, it is disappointing to say the least that presentation isn't a priority for takeout orders and being left with feeling like we spent our money at the wrong establishment. Busy or not the quality should be TOP priority as well as thoroughly checking an order to ensure your customer is getting what they ordered and paid for. Driving back to get it corrected would have been a hassle in itself much less having to make our way back through an over crowded parking lot and line out the door. It will most likely be a while before we consider choosing first watch again.
