Ateliers 113 Salon — Local services in Summit

Upon walking in 15 minutes early for my appointment (they ask you to be 15 minutes early for a consultation) I was told my colorist was running 45 minutes behind, not 10 not even 20 but 45 minutes! A courtesy call or email to alert me would have been nice. They asked if I wanted to reschedule??? I dropped business meetings and gave up my time to make my appointment time!! All wasted time!!! If I rescheduled, my time is money, if I were late, they would've charged me!!! I also missed a dinner meeting because of their delay in my day. Very Unprofessional. They didn't even apologize. Just a "Would you like to reschedule". Never saw such a delay and then a response that was unprofessional!!

Walked in blonde with roots growing in. Wanted blonde highlights with a darker root. As a first time client, I booked, root touch up, partial highlights, glaze, haircut. I walked out way darker than I asked for with a bill that was $631.00, which included 105.00 tip This price included 20% discount offered to new clients!! So without the discount it would've been almost $800.00 I go to top salons in NYC and Boca Raton I don't mind the hefty price tag, but not when you walk out not receiving what you asked for!! I must say, I came to Ateliers 113 totally desperate. The hair stylists I went to before didn’t seem to understand what I was asking for, but not only, they didn’t seem to know how to use proper scissors. I booked an appointment with Michelle, and got one for the next day. I showed her a picture of myself and asked her if she could replicate it. She sounded so confident in her answer that I thought “she either doesn’t have a clue or she really knows what she’s doing”! I must say, all I needed was pretty standard, although I needed a scissor cut to make sure my hair wouldn’t stick out in every direction when growing. Now the good stuff: We started with the shampoo, which was a good sign compared to the others before, and Michelle started “sculpting” my hair like a construction game, layer after layer, starting on the sides and back. Very pro! Then she managed to give texture to the top and finished with the front. Everything came into place nicely. Michelle knows what she’s doing! After moving to the area from a large city, myself and my husband are grateful to find Michelle and this warm and welcoming salon (thanks to Dina for the recommendation!).

The level of service is absolutely 5 out of 5 stars. Michelle is a master colorist, and she also cuts both my husband's and my hair beautifully. I've truly never gotten so many compliments.

The salon itself is so wonderfully friendly, quiet and just feels like a great little neighborhood spot. You can tell Michelle and Ateliers 113 is a crucial part of the local community here in Summit.

An awesome bonus: the location is super convenient, especially as it's sat beside a large parking lot where patrons can park for free.
