I don't know what is wrong with the managers at this location. They seem to enjoy upsetting customers. Last year, I really wanted a purse, but it was the last one and had a stain on the lining. Since I like the purse so much, I figured I'd buy it and try and remove the stain. However, I asked to see if it was possible to get a discount, even if it mean final sale. The clerk asked a manager over who took the purse away from me and told me it couldn't be sold because it was "not up to Nordstrom quality" due to the damage. I explained that I would do a final sale and would even take it without the discount because I liked the purse so much. The manager absolutely refused to let me buy the purse. I guess it got thrown away? I think we've all seen the $200 clearance garments that look like a cat laid into them still on the rack. Today I took a pair of clearance boots up to the register. They were far more scuffed and scraped than the purse I'd tried to buy. However, they were for a costume, so I didn't mind, especially for the price. Since it was a "Clear the Rack" event, winter items, including boots, were supposed to be an additional 75% off, according to the signs around the store. (These were calf height leather boots with a thick sole.) The boots rang up for only an additional 25% off. I mentioned the sign that said clearance boots were extra discount. A manager, who was on the phone two registers down yelled over that only "winter" boots were an extra discount and these were "lace up." What!?!?! Still they had no problem selling them at the higher price. Didn't even bother to notice they weren't "up to Nordstrom quality." I didn't argue, because it took 20 minutes to get to the register, and the line was twice as long as when I entered. Bottom line, don't bother with the managers here, you'll wish you hadn't....

Everytime i shop this location, i can't find anything. Merchandising is so unorganized, it's frustrating. I went to the store this week because my mother ordered a pair of Stewart Weitzman shoes that were worn when she received them. It had also been 71 days since purchase. The girl at the register seemed annoyed that i was making a return from online to begin with. I've worked retail/sales/customer service in a upper management capacity for over 25 years and was not entering this situation blind. I explained to the cashier that the shoes were received worn and that my mother had been in the hospital and unable to handle her return. The cashier just said no, can't return. I asked to speak to a manager and her attitude was the same, rude. No apology for the worn shoes, no concern for my mother, no acknowledgement of our family being a good customer. The receipts i had with me reflected almost $4000 on 2 purchases. She said they wouldn't take the shoes at the store that I had to go through online. There seemed to be more concern that "they didn't sell them to us" rather than representing the entire Nordstrom brand. I mentioned my disappointment to both of them and stated this was not the Nordstrom I knew. I left with my $225 worn shoes. Online did take care of the situation with no issue. Creatively thinking I could make this work for the bosses who run our household, our pets, I set out to find someone to help. Perhaps most of us have felt the ramifications from the last couple years with businesses being short-staffed, which I try to be more cognisant of but still find myself proceeding with caution if I cannot figure it out myself. Look no further than Mia on the Floor Team and Angelina L., the Assistant Manager, who went way above and beyond their "customer service" attributes to assist me.
