Easily one of the worst experiences I've ever had. It was my first and last time I'll ever dine at this restaurant. We were a party of four that clearly stated we had never been there before. When asked how to dine in experience works, the female worker explained we give her our orders then go down the line. After browsing the menu, we inquired about some of the dinner options, which the staff was unable to answer. "What's in your mushroom chicken?" doesn't seem like too difficult of a question to me, but it most definitely was for the employees. Not only did they not know, they did not go ask the chef. When inquiring about our missing drinks, the male worker says we had to pay first. Easy enough. Not quite. It took us asking four times before we got that answer, then he continuously ignored not only us buy the elderly couple next to us, who also had to urge the gentleman that the order he was reading off was ours and not theirs. After finally paying - with a tip unfortunately - we still had yet to receive our drinks. We had to go back to the woman then the gentleman before receiving our glasses. The tea was horrible, as if it had been sitting idle in the containers for weeks. Luckily the fountain soda were still carbonated. Unlikely, the water was a mucky, discoloration of yellow. Our food came out in 5 minutes, which shouldn't pose a problem if they hadn't been cold and disgusting. The potato soup was milky with an odd taste, chicken pasta had a thin slab of chicken that not even public schools would serve in their cafeterias, the salmon looked like rolled, raw bacon tacked with an odd discoloration, and the mushroom chicken was so horrible I didn't even touch the plate. I made it politely known that I wished to switch out the meal. When asked why, I explained that it was not to my liking and I would rather pick something else. The female worked told me that shouldn't be a problem and allowed me to order a ham and swiss sandwich instead. After 20 minutes of inept service, my party and I hastily left to go across the street to a burger shop vowing we would never again go to La Madeleine. I also never got...
Read moreThis review is for the visit the morning of Friday December 15th.
Wife and I went in right at opening at 7am. Had called a few days earlier and was told we could order anything on the menu anytime of the day. We were excited about the visit as it was my first time at this place, but that was short lived.
Walked in and took us a few minutes to be acknowledged as we looked at the pastries that were put out. Then it went way downhill when we went to order the food. Miguel, the cashier, got very rude. My wife ordered and asked for the Potato soup for a side. Was told by Miguel that there was no way we were getting soup at that time of the day, when we were told we could order anything anytime of the day. Well after he talked to someone else, he asked my wife again if she wanted the soup, put some in a pan and put it on the stove to heat. Wife also asked for extra sauce on some pasta, and was told by Miguel that everything is pre-made and extra sauce was not an option.
We finished ordering and sat down, had our meal. We were going to order some food to go to take to some family. We went to the pastry counter and were greeted by Michelle. My wife informed her we would order some food and come back to her to order some sweets, and she told us "well you can just order it all over there". Seemed kind of rude.
There were two other guys in line in front of us as we were going to get the food ordered to go. They were helped promptly and as my wife walked up the register, Miguel walked right past her without even acknowledging that we were even standing there. At this point we just put down the menu and left.
First time as this restaurant chain, last time as well....
Read moreLa Madeleine is such a wonderful spot for breakfast, lunch, or even a casual coffee break. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, cozy, and inviting—like you just stepped into a little French café. The décor, the smell of fresh bread, and the friendly staff immediately make you feel at home.
The food is absolutely amazing. Their pastries, breads, and croissants are fresh and buttery, and the soups and salads are always flavorful and satisfying. I especially love [insert your favorite dish, e.g., the Quiche Lorraine, Chicken Pot Pie, or French Onion Soup]—it’s consistently delicious and made with quality ingredients. Even the coffee and hot chocolate are a treat; they feel like they were made with care and taste way better than anything you can get at a chain café.
The staff is always super friendly and attentive. They make the experience feel personal, from recommending menu items to checking in to make sure everything is perfect. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in their food.
Another great thing about La Madeleine is the variety. Whether you’re looking for something light and healthy or something indulgent, there’s something for everyone. Portions are generous but not overwhelming, so you leave feeling satisfied but not stuffed.
Overall, La Madeleine is my go-to spot whenever I want a comforting, high-quality meal or a quick pick-me-up with pastries and coffee. The combination of delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a place I always want to come back to....
