Poke Austin — Restaurant in Sunset Valley

The most terrible customer service ever. You may find it good place to eat but get ready to see different when there’s something happens. My wife paid her meal and sat outside. The cashier forgot she already paid and charged hers and mine together on my card. So her meal was charged twice. I found it after and visited 1 month later thought it quite simple to get refund. The cashier toke photos of my 2 transactions I snapshot from bank app and recorded my phone number. He cannot do anything because manager is not on but he will let manager get it done. After another 2 months I realized no refund at all and visited twice only for the refund. Manager Shaine is still off and I was told she didn’t find my transactions so nothing happened. Yes they just let it go and I got nothing response or refund. Phone calls with Shaine finally they found the second transaction but still not the first one. These are two continuous orders and I texted her all the information again. How difficult hmm?! She just insisted cannot find the transaction and cannot trust me. After 30 minutes, something magic happened. Who knows how. Maybe said sorry once? It was my fault I didn’t feel it. Manager Shaine : “We already refunded you and said sorry for inconvience. You just making it big deal. Customers are not always right. I cant refund somebody i didnt even know? Where/who i will refund with right? What if i refunded it to someone else. This will be the last time I ever order from here, the food was so BAD! I ordered a bowl and there were many things wrong with it that just made it inedible.

First, they gave me the wrong type of rice, which would have been fine if that was the only thing wrong with the order. The cooked salmon was terrible, fishy, overcooked, dry, disgusting. The kimchi was absolutely FOUL, and this is coming from somebody who loves kimchi and it's flavor. It tasted like it had gone rancid, I felt sick immediately after biting into it and spit it out into the trash.

Lastly, the fried garlic was so hard that I thought I had bitten down on a rock in my food, it hurt my teeth so bad I had to check if it had cracked (Yes, that's how hard the pieces were). After all of the above I just threw out the whole bowl. I felt so sick after a few bites, and completely lost my appetite.

I tried reaching out Poke Austin for a refund, explaining everything that happened, but didn't hear back. I then tried to call the restaurant to speak to a manager about a refund, with yet again no response or call back. It has now been over a week from me trying to contact them for my refund, with no response. If they had given me a refund I might have given them another try at some point.

I recommend finding another Poke restaurant to eat at. There are many good ones in Austin that have good ingredients, better customer service, and actually taste delicious. Never again,...

I’m honestly disappointed with my Supreme BYO bowl. It cost about $20 but the portion was tiny barely 4 or 5 oz of protein even though it’s supposed to have five scoops. The guy in front of me got a pre-made bowl for like $2 less and it was overflowing with protein practically spilling over the top. Mine didn’t even reach the lip of the bowl. I paid an extra 50 cents for seaweed salad and didn’t even get a full scoop just a sad half portion. When I asked why my bowl looked so much smaller the server just said it’s because I didn’t get all 12 toppings and toppings make it look bigger. That felt like a weak excuse. I overheard a co-worker tell the server the manager said to load up on the Supreme since it’s the priciest but this guy was clearly not doing what he was told and gave me one measly scoop of each protein. I left feeling ripped off still hungry and out $20. They might have got my $20 but they’ll lose way more when people read this and all for an employee not doing his job. Meanwhile props to the other employee who was hooking people up with huge protein-packed bowls. I doubt I’ll be back if this is how it’s gonna be. You’re getting 2 stars only because of the free scoop of crab salad (the day’s special) and even that was lame, but in all honestly, this deserves a 1 star review. Demand your money’s...
