Kendra Scott — Local services in Sycamore Township

i went to the kendra scott store between 2 and 3 pm on 3/6/22. i go to the kenwood mall pretty frequently and i do really like kendra scott jewelry so i like to stop in every once in a while to see what’s new. i am almost always hesitant to go in because the employees always stare at me the whole time i am there and make me feel like they think i’m stealing or something. i am also never left alone for more than 2 minutes because they keep asking me questions and hounding me about whether i need help or not (which i somewhat understand having had a retail job before but regardless it’s still annoying). yesterday i went in looking for something specific and i had someone there show me the colors they had and i didn’t like any of them so i decided to look for some earrings. the same girl that had kept coming back to me and asking me question after question then came up to me asking what i got from hollister (i had a small hollister bag), i told her i got a dress and she asked “may i see it?” as if i was stealing by putting things in my bag and she wanted to search it. i took the dress out to show her bc what else would i do and saw her peak into my now empty bag. i don’t appreciate this at all and most likely won’t go back. it’s always such an uncomfortable experience in there and i prefer to shop online now. they always make me feel like they think i’m stealing so bad that i feel like i almost have to buy something or they’re gonna search me. i get that it can be fishy if someone has a bag from another store but i’m an 18 yr old and it’s not exactly the most easy decision to spend $60+ on jewelry so if i go in i’m usually in there for a while....

I've had several positive shopping experiences with Kendra Scott and believe their products are good quality. This review is focused on the wonderful experience I had this weekend though. I had a private Color Bar jewelry party for my wedding party to choose their jewelry for our wedding day. I planned it about a month in advance and their staff member Kaitlyn did an incredible job. We had an entire hour to ourselves before the mall opened, they had a custom welcome sign for me, mimosas and snacks for us all, and were SO helpful as everyone made their choices. HUGE shout out to Mandy! I am completely blew away by the kindness she showed my daughter and myself. We explained we were there to replace a necklace for my daughter and Mandy went above and beyond.
