I walked into the store today and was made to feel extremely uncomfortable. Iāve been shopping at Hallmark for years and was happy to go into the store since I hadnāt been in awhile because the one in my hometown closed a few years ago. I am an African American 44 year old woman with a 16 year old daughter who also noticed the treatment from the employees without me mentioning it to her. As I was being watched as I chose a card for a dear friend whose mother is battling cancer, I brought the card to the register and tried to use my free coupon sent in my email, the employee let me know I could not use my coupon and that it was only for a specific group of cards so I said ok and then chose from those specific cards, the employee rang up both cards and I explained to her I only wanted one card in which I could use my coupon. She didnāt say anything, but it was like she was upset I had a coupon to use and she was very rude. She didnāt greet nor thank you at the end, it was if she was upset I was able to enter her store and use my coupon. I will not EVER be back and Iāll make sure to let family and friends know as well!! Disgusting experience! Do better, employees...

The particular ladies I have encountered working in this store are not friendly or inviting in the slightest. I can honestly say Iāve only ever encountered one staff member who was pleasant. One time, I felt as if I was being watched by an employee, not too sure why? Maybe because I had a purse backpack on? Iām not sure. But regardless each time it just seemed the staff were not happy, couldnāt bother to acknowledge you, and avoided customers. The last time I stopped in to look at ornaments, I heard two employees speaking poorly about another one. Extremely unprofessional and honestly heartbreaking. I think after this last visit Iāve learned my lesson, there are far better Hallmark locations than this one. From now on Iāll only stop in if my preferred store doesnāt have what Iām looking...
