My friend and I were at Kenwood Mall for dinner and shopping for my birthday. We stopped at Macy’s at 7:30pm (30 minutes to close) to check on a pair of shoes for my fiend. The two young girls behind the counter told her to look harder when she asked if they had the specific shoe that she was looking for. She still couldn’t find it, and decided to go with another. She asked to try them on and received hesitation, as it seemed like the goal of the girls was to close early. She tried on a different color of the shoe because they did not have her size and then asked the girls how much the shoes were so she could order the other color. They said “I don’t know”. They continued to say because they didn’t have that size in the store they couldn’t tell her how much it is. She asked if they could look up a different size to find the price, and they said they didn’t know how. They ended up losing a $150 sale. We proceeded to the front of the store to exit. It was 8:01 and the woman up front had just shut the door that lead to the entrance of the mall. We asked if she could open the door for our exit and she said “You can exit the back door”. We walked to the back door and realized it was an exit to the back of the mall’s parking lot. We were parked at the front of the mall and were not comfortable walking outside as two young women with shopping bags around the back and side of the mall in the parking lot before reaching our car. We walked back up front and explained that we weren’t comfortable and she said “That is the only exit you can use”. I asked if she would call security to walk us to our cars which she would not. We ended up exiting the back and walking outside in the dark. We are both very displeased and disappointed in the quality of service at this store and will not return to this location which is a shame since Macy’s is magical during the holiday season. I can’t imagine them staying in business for long if this is how they treat their guests. These events took place from 7:30-8:00pm...

Her co-workers name was Elizabeth. So my boyfriend wanted to use the Macy's rewards the bronze level. My boyfriend asked the employee of he could give her his phone number since we had just purchased a a clearance linen item and the woman at the returns area was able to type it in. The employee started talking about how she would need to look it by the drivers license and etc. But we just wanted to do a simple type in phone number. When I paid their was an option to type in the phone number but we didn't get to. She argued with my boyfriend saying you don't get points on last act. My boyfriend said he does. And the employee argued back saying that he didn't and that she would know because she works there. She also went on to say that you can't get rewards because the already marked down so low. My boyfriend after hearing the employees talk about how they don't how to do the rewards and how Elizabeth has tried in the past to do the rewards and it didn't work. He asked if the employee could call a supervisor. Elizabeth ended up calling on her phone and she said no one picked up. My boyfriend just gave up and I paid for my items. This whole interaction ruined my night because I feel like this was all misunderstanding. I tried looking the Macy's bronze rewards page if last act items are excluded. If someone could contact me about I would really love to clarification on what counts towards the Macy's bronze rewards points. Because we have mainly purchased last act and feel we have gotten rewards. So I'm just trying to understand what is going on. I have been to other Macy's and have never had a problem about having them type in the phone number or me doing it...
Read moreExtremely Disappointed – Humiliated and Ignored at Macy’s Kenwood (10/12/25) I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at the Macy’s in Kenwood Mall on Sunday, October 12, 2025, between 6:00 and 7:00 PM. What was supposed to be a simple shopping trip with my family turned into a deeply upsetting experience. First, in the shoe department, a tall Black female associate with black hair treated us with open disrespect. She brushed past us without a word, didn’t acknowledge us at all, and was visibly irritated, slamming boxes and acting like our presence was a burden. Her behavior made us feel completely unwelcome, like we were being blamed for something we didn’t do. It was aggressive, cold, and totally unnecessary. Then, to make matters worse, when I got to the register just before 7:00 PM, the cashier (a white woman with black hair, probably in her 30s) refused to check me out, claiming the store was closed—even though she had just rung up the white customer ahead of me, who had been in line at the same time. There was no explanation, no apology—just a cold “we’re closed” after I had waited patiently. I cannot ignore how discriminatory this felt. I left feeling humiliated, disrespected, and completely devalued as a customer. I’ve shopped at Macy’s for years, but after this, I seriously question if they care about treating all customers equally and respectfully. Macy’s, this was...
