I visited the Tampa Club during the Champa Bay Launch party on Tuesday February 22, 2022 6-11pm which advertised an open bar. No end time was listed for the open bar on the official event website at ChampaBayLaunch.com which is still up. Tampa Club's old male bartender was rude and Eye rolled not once but twice upon asking about open bar and upon asking for a drink menu. I mentioned this to another friend who said that this bartender eye rolled her too and a friend's of hers too so evidently this guy makes a habit of eye rolling patrons of your business.
Tampa Club Management really should have a talk with this eye rolling bartender about manners and not to eye roll people for simple questions and requests. Tampa Club Management should provide patrons with a drink menu so people know what kind of specialty mixed drinks are available and what kind of beers are available and what the pricing of these items are. Simple questions like pricing and availability of items should not got eye rolls from bartenders.
The Tampa Club Resident membership costs $1700 for initiation and $155 per month with an additional flat hospitality tipping rate of $40 per month or a flat 20% gratuity added to every check. The Tampa Club's guaranteed gratuity policy means staff can be rude to patrons without any sort of financial consequence. Paying a monthly membership fee for the ability to pay again at a restaurant hardly seems like a good Idea to me.
Tampa club is in its 40th year of operations and has recently completed their renovations which included opening the terrace on the 42nd floor for dining, expanding the co-work remote space, remodeling of the member grille and ballroom, and the expanding the bar to a whopping 24 seats.
If you have to join a dining club, I'd have to recommend the Centre Club which has added a business center with Internet connections. It has wine-tasting parties, a concierge who gets event tickets for members and monthly pizza parties for...
Read moreWow — just wow! We recently dined at The Tampa Club in downtown Tampa Bay, and from start to finish, it was an unforgettable evening.
We had a party of six and were lucky enough to arrive just in time to catch the sunset — the views from this place are absolutely stunning. It set the perfect mood for what turned out to be one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.
I ordered the Wagyu strip steak, and let me tell you — it was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and packed with flavor. The jalapeño mac and cheese that came with it? Over the top in the best way. Rich, creamy, with just the right kick. And the Brussels sprouts? Roasted to perfection — slightly crispy and full of flavor.
We started with a charcuterie board that was beautifully presented and delicious — a perfect way to ease into the evening. My wife had the crab cakes, and they were outstanding — golden on the outside, packed with fresh crab on the inside, and bursting with flavor. But the true surprise of the night was the scallops and grits. Visually stunning, and according to my friend, the best scallops he’s ever eaten. That’s high praise from a guy who orders them everywhere.
Beyond the food, the service took the experience to another level. Juicy, the Director of Experience, lived up to his title — warm, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. Adam, our waiter, was just as amazing — attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely kind.

Read moreDining at The Tampa Club was a full-on elevated experience—literally and figuratively. Perched high above the city, the views were stunning, the ambiance refined, and the food… well, the food was the true star of the show.
I started with the charred octopus, which was plated beautifully and tender with just the right hint of smokiness. The accompanying elements added brightness and contrast, making every bite layered and memorable.
For the main, I went with the seared steak medallions, perfectly cooked to a juicy medium-rare, paired with a silky mashed potato purée and vibrant green sauce that brought a fresh pop to the dish. Rich, flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced.
The surprise hit? The crispy Brussels sprouts. These were next-level—golden brown, slightly sweet, and addictive. The perfect mix of texture and umami.
The service was polished and attentive throughout, fitting for a private club experience. Whether you're here for a special occasion, business dinner, or just want to treat yourself, The Tampa Club delivers a memorable fine dining experience with top-tier food and...
