I recently went back to this Checkers location after having a previous BAD experience. I went there on 8/11/25 late-night after my work shift, after 3am. It was nice to see that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has changed at this location! I ordered two big Buford burgers and a large fry. The order seemed to take forever to process, even though I was the only car present. Neither crew member was friendly nor even made eye contact with me. The male employee gave me my food and said nothing else. I normally check my order, but this time just put it in the back-seat. When I arrived home, yeah, the two burgers were there, but they DID NOT include my French fries! The total order was over $17.00 bucks and they missed one of the three items! WOW! The burgers themselves were disgusting and certainly nothing close to how they look in the commercial. I think I may send the photos of these sad burgers to Checker's CEO since he is always going on about quality and customer service. So, I obviously won't be coming here again and I recommend no one else bother, either. It's also in a dicey part of town, so be aware and keep your doors locked when in that part of town. It's sad since I remember how delicious and full of quality Checker's food was in the 1990's. Even the employees were great and pleasant. I asked her In A very calm and reasonable tone about price difference and she started raising her voice and talking to me like an idiot from the start. She literally SLAMMED the window on our face three times the last time resulting in cutting the tip of my boyfriends when he was simply asking for ketchup. When We asked for a supervisors numnerr or corporate she said I am the manager and I don't have anyone's number you can call. A simple Google search resulted in a formal complaint being filed. I have been in customer service 15 years and understand difficult customers so I go out of my way to be reasonable anytime I have to speak to management. I have never in my life called a corporate office to complain, but after the physical injury and possibility of spitting in our food (her back was turned and then she turned around to smirk and laugh before she wrapped the sandwiches ). This experience was deplorable and the most unprofessional experience I have EVER witnessed. Do NOT let the manager Ericka ever touch your food unless you have nothing against a strangers bodily fluids in your dinner. Enjoy! Heard people complaining about messy and wrong orders. People getting rejected service for saying āhelloā into the intercoms. Staff yelling at customers for ordering an item incorrectly on the menu and it āconfusing the staffā. I left my place in line since I was 4 cars behind waiting 45 minutes to make an order. The line sped up quickly when each person in front of me started leaving after a serious altercation with the night manager and some guy just saying āhelloā to the intercom, and thatās when I left too. I filed a non-formal complaint to see to it that the nightly staffing here is corrected. Iāll keep following up until it happens. I know who the night manager is and heās out there threatening to hit people and rejecting service for people saying āhelloā to make sure someone is just on the intercom after sitting there for a long time. Iām going to be very consistent and thorough about this being fixed. This used to be my favorite night stop in college and this place is ruined now.
