Taqueria La Mexicana — Restaurant in Temple Terrace

So far each time I've ordered food here it's been disappointing, granted I've only ordered three things, burrito, torta, and sopes and all with asada. Out of all the Mexican food trucks I've gone to this one has been the least authentic with their food. Reasons being when I first got a burrito there it was so disappointing, it didn't taste bad but literally the only thing inside it was mainly meat and some lettuce and cheese, I was expecting it to be decked out with meat cheese, lettuce, rice, refried beans and Pico de Gallo but alas. The torta was also disappointing because it was mainly bread, and again was expecting more ingredients and lacked flavor. Now the sopes was the most disappointing because there was absolutely no flavor which is unfortunate. The best out of the three I've tried was the burrito but honestly I won't be ordering from here again. I do know a more authentic truck that's very close to the food I've had in California which is omg. Hard to find something close to that here in Florida. I love tacos and I get really excited when I find a new taco truck with good reviews. And this little truck did not let me down.

I had a good feeling when I saw that there are lots of work trucks full of laborers stopping here.

I got steak tacos and they were awesome. My favorite part was the sliced radishes that they served with the tacos. That really sets these tacos apart for me from all the other steak tacos I've tried. Those sliced radishes added a very nice crunch to the tacos.

The corn tortillas were really good. I can't tell if they're fresh, but they might be. The red and green sauces were just okay. The red was super hot.
