I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE AGAIN. LONG REVIEW
My husband and I bought 2 nightstands from here in November. When we placed the order we were told that they will call us two days ahead of time to schedule a time for delivery. Well according to them my husband did not respond to the text. So they delivered it and left it at my door. That was okay. Not a big deal. However, I unpacked them later that night and found mold inside of them. The boxes appeared to have never been opened. So they were probably unaware of the mold inside. However, it was too much mold for me to even consider keeping and cleaning myself. I called them and told them of the issue but the girl on the line was very rude. She wouldn’t pronounce my name properly even after I told it to her. She smacked her lips and didn’t seem to care much. I asked for a replacement and she told me that I would have to wait another week. That’s okay but the mold inside of the nightstands were a health hazard and she be moved immediately. I told her that the mold was everywhere. I offered to send pictures but she said no. This was frustrating because I wanted these nightstands out of my place. However, she assured me that nothing could be done. I then asked what time will they make the delivery because I have to work. She told she could not give me a time. She also said that I could pay for a set delivery time. I said okay, how much is it? She then said I could only pay for it for an initial delivery but not a replacement. The longer I talked to her, the more frustrated I got. I finally asked to speak to someone else and although he was nicer, he was not much more of any help and told me that what I had previously been told was not true. He said customers never setup delivery times and the times are given according to their schedule. That did not help because they will not replace the nightstands unless I’m home. I couldn’t put them outside because they could possibly be stolen. So I’m stuck trying to figure out how they were going to be able to replace them. I finally just accepted it. Two days prior they send me a text message to confirm the delivery but they still had not scheduled a time. The following day I get another text with a time but I could not be home at that time. So I called to change the time but they refused and told me I would have to wait another week and maybe I’ll be able to get a better time. Meanwhile these nightstands are still in my home. They showed no concern for it at all. The guy said maybe they’ll run late and be there when you get home. I said okay. Well that’s what happened.
They arrived just before I got home but were very unprofessional. I live in a nice area but occasionally we have issues like normal. One of our issues is the smell of weed throughout the complex. Well, the driver was more concerned about finding the source so he could get some. He talked about how much he enjoyed it. Anywho, we get off the elevator and inside my apartment. They come in and put them by the door. They did not unpack them or look at the mold in the others. They did say that the company didn’t care and will paint over it to give to someone else. They weren’t in my place for longer than 1 minute. I didn’t care. I just wanted the mold gone and that gave me comfort.
The next set was broken and that was the last straw for me. They actually had the broken parts and the pieces to fix them inside the nightstand. My husband talked to them about this because I was over it. Nebraska furniture mart will not get another $1 from me. Anyway, waited another week for the replacement and the guy was really nice. He took pictures and said I should have never gotten that set. He couldn’t believe that no one was looking at these before delivering them. He had me sign for them. He was very nice.

Read moreWorse experience ever at NFM! I used to be a customer of this store and NO MORE! Spent $$$ here, but will take my business elsewhere. Was looking at purchasing a Speed Queen Washer and Dryer, along with a refrigerator. Did all the research on various washers and dryers and knew that you would pay more for Speed Queens, but I have been using this type of washing machine since I was a kid. NFM was the only place that sold them in the area. I had all the facts, prices, measurements written out. It was pick it and lets go, paying cash.
Was met by an associate named Emily. Young girl, who asked if she could help us. Now, I know that their "meat and potatoes" are through commissions, but I also knew that I could barter with delivery, removal services, etc being I was bundling with three major appliances. Emily immediately told us, when we picked Speed Queen that "these are the worse on the market" and "I can show you in the back on the ones that have been returned" She said, let me show you this LG.. they have high reviews, but stay away from Speed Queen... yadi yadi, yada... okay... She also said that appliances only last 2 to 3 years. Hmmmmm... I had my Roper Washer and Dryer for over 11 years... please tell me again how long you have been in the appliance business.
Listened to her "speel" on how she could sell us these discontinued LG floor models. I told her we have 2-10 Home Warranty and she immediately said, they will not cover floor models and needed to purchase the NFM Extended Warranty at $750.00. Well, I called 2-10 Home Warranty and they said, they could cover it. Well, that did not sit right and all of a sudden, if we wanted to buy the floor models, they could sit on the floor for up to 30 days, until a replacement model comes in. So I pay for floor models that can sit on the floor for up to 30 days with people touching, scraping and banging into them... NO... Then there was an issue with delivery and if something was in stock.. Yadi, Yadi, Yadi... well... I had enough. I have socks older than her and I was not born last night. Make your commission and do not LIE.
Speed Queen is one of the best on the market. Now LG, Maytag, GE are in the top tier, but do not lie to me that you have a bunch of returned Speed Queen ones in the back, just so you could try to convince us to buy a floor model.
I found out from someone who opened NFM that they are commissioned based and a lot of them make their money off of the "extended warranty". You see, Emily could not make any money off of a warranty with the Speed Queen purchase because they have a sensational extended warranty that comes with it. So Emily tried to convince my wife to buy some floor model and upsell an extended warranty. I asked my buddy if a call in a complaint was it worth it and he said, they will probably not do anything. The turnover rate in sales associates are crazy... as long as the $$$ is coming in, nothing will be done.
Even our last purchase, the furniture was coming in one week here, another piece a week later... I do not know how they stay in business. Then Emily was saying, there may be separate delivery fees... WTH! The only reason we went to NFM was because they sell Speed Queen.
Went to Lowe's and got all three, LG Washer (that was supposedly discontinued...NOT), LG Dryer, and GE Refrigerator all for $500.00 less and no BS involved.
Now many may say...this was too long of a review and you "threw the baby out with the bath water" because of one Sales Associate. WOWSER what a great experience. We will absolutely use them again for other flooring projects in our home and would recommend them to our friends & family.

Shopping Friends who did a new custom build used NFM to do the flooring for their entire house and couldn't stop raving about what a great job they did so after checking out other options and coming up discouraged we checked out NFM. Jim A. was incredibly helpful, offered us wonderful service and wasn't too pushy. He told us about the deals they had going on, and we checked out samples to bring home. After an exchange for different shades and other samples we settled on a beautiful carpet with an organic & chemical free padding. Scheduling the team to come measure was easy and hassle free. They arrived when they said they would, asked great questions & were polite.
Install Once our carpet had arrived we scheduled the install. Even though they were pretty sure they could do the whole project in 1-2 days, we scheduled 3 to be sure. I really appreciated this knowing if something happened they wouldn't be pulled away to another job. Install day arrived and it was rainy!! Jose & Victor arrived on time and asked if they could set up in our garage to ensure the carpet & padding stayed dry for the day. We happily obliged by moving our cars out of the garage. Jose & Victor worked so hard all day long. One of our rooms required the removal of a section of bamboo hardwood and they did an excellent job. The precision was spot-on. We were worried our baseboards would take a beating with the removal of 20yr old carpet and the installation of new padding & carpet and the did NOT!! Our baseboards are exactly as they were before Jose & Victor started. ** The most impressive part? The clean-up! Jose & Victor vacuumed the sub floor before laying down the padding and carpet. They removed every scrap of debris from every room. They dusted and vacuumed everything after they were done too. Our garage, every room, it all was immaculate.
Communication The communication through the whole process was excellent. If Jim was off anyone else on the sales floor was willing to jump in and help us. Jim emailed us after our initial visit to see how the samples were looking. The measurement team communicated clearly when they were on their way and sent us the dimensions and measurements of the space to be carpeted. The NFM install team was available for me to call and check on our order and was incredibly helpful. The install team, Jose & Victor, let me know when they were on their way & let me know whey they'd step away for lunch and they worked until 7pm to finish in one day. Impressive!
EXTRAS: You can take out as many samples as you want, but are charged a $25 holding fee. When you return them the $25 is fully refunded. Some companies had full size samples, which was incredibly helpful.
While we chose an organic & chemical free padding & carpet, we were honestly told the glue used to hold it all down is incredibly toxic so it was suggested we not sleep in the newly carpeted rooms for 48 hrs & keep them well ventilated. We appreciated the honesty.
The turn around time we were told from measurement, purchase & install was exactly what they said it would be.
