If you are reading this review, let's be honest...you are probably at that crucial crossroads, on where to place your loved ones, most likely a parent. Stop looking. If Carveth Village is in your vicinity, please call them. My brother and I agreed that we just wanted the very best place we could find for our Mom. I was looking for an Assisted Living that was well monitored, full of social activities, and maybe, just maybe, rooms that felt like home. We hit gold. Carveth Village is a family run business with Mckenzi Peters at the helm. It was her grandparents and uncle that started the business and it has continued for 22 years. Treating your family with dignity and respect is in full practice there. The staff are so patient with my Mom. They are patient with all of the residents, their friends and families. Even among the staff the same kindness is displayed towards each other. Staff seem to light up the room with their good nature and attentive service and they really encourage socialization. This has made my Mom just sparkle! I mean, come on...fall color tour for the residents on golf carts! One of the many, many fun events up their sleeves. Mom is in a comfy, enjoyable social environment and she speaks highly of the staff. I've worked in the medical field for almost 30 years and after every observation, I agree. Top notch service from everyone! The Carveth staff operate as a team, a very knowledgeable and cooperative team, who also know the value of a good laugh with their patients. My Mom says, and I quote..."Every day here is a good day". Don't get...
Read moreWe had a tough decision to make with Mom, she needed more assistance than we could handle and wasn't really ready for what we had to do. We were led to Carveth and from the moment we walked in the door the staff seemed to understand our emotions. Brandy walked us thru the facility and introduced us to the caregivers on staff. We decided to commit and it was the BEST decision we could have made! We moved Mom in and the staff helped Mom and us with all our needs. As time went on we were treated like family and Mom was handled with professionalism and kindness. As Mom needed more and more care, the Carveth staff stepped up their actions. Mom passed after three months in this facility, but she was happy and well taken care of until the end. The staff was still, professional and extremely helpful in our time of sorrow. In our opinion Carveth and their staff are second to none. Thanks to them for being there in our families time of need! We still continue to visit the friends we acquired, while Mom was in the facility. One last thing, the reviews that we looked at before we made the final decision, were a little concerning, but seemed to improve in the last few years. We brought our concerns to the forefront and asked Mackenzie as to why? She was very upfront and said that it was different management, and that she came in (at the time) 5 years ago and changed some things. Thanks Carveth...
Read moreWe had no intention of ever moving my mother-in-law to any assisted living facility, ever. However, she didn't want to "burden" us by living with us so this was our only solution. It was very hard for us to move her to Carveth Village but since she has been here, we have been more than impressed with the care and compassion that she has received from the AMAZING staff here. We continually see that the staff takes care of her needs and wants, and they can be demanding at times! We can't say enough about every single staff member that tends to her needs and knows her by name. I would recommend Carveth Village to anyone that needs this...
