Target — Local services in Tomball

DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS HERE AS YOU MAY LOOSE YOUR MONEY! Since April 2022 I have been fighting a loosing battle regarding a Visa gift card for $100 I purchased for my niece for her birthday. She is 12 and after Easter weekend she went to use it with her mother only to find it spent. The card was still in the cardboard wrapper un-tampered with when she did. I have called the store manager, Target customer service, the gift card company and the bank. What I found was the money was spent at another TARGET by someone else out of state within a day of my purchase. Target's take is well we filled the card, although the money was illegally used at another of their stores. The store manager said it may have been cloned. It is the responsibility in my opinion of Target to have a better process or third party vendor (of whom I have not heard back from) or recourse for customers who make a purchase but receive no value from it. This will terminate my 30 year relationship with Target. Target knew it was spent at another location out of state and did nothing. UPDATE : After this post I received a replacement card for my loss several days later from their 3rd party vendor. The date on the replacement was prior to this post. It seems it just takes them a very, very long time. I had already replaced my nieces gift with cash. I still will not buy gift cards here, but other merchandise definitely will. What a horrible experience at this store. I’m 9 months pregnant and almost felt in their store. I had order online, get there, my order is cancelled. I go inside a guy cancelled it. Then I had to pay for everything again, and wait for a manager for my gift card to be accepted back to the other. I was not going to wait, so I said is “fine, ring me up and it’s all good” walking outside of their store, a contractor was changing carpet with no sign or no way to see it I stepped on the glue. Almost felt. The target employee cleaning the carts was not even able to say “be careful” or anything at if any he laughed. The contractor went out to get something to wipe my shoes. I walked out of the store, because again they have ruined by morning by now. The contractor had no sign for the work he is doing. Called the store to tell them to put something up, waited on the phone to hear their unnecessary phone message about covid then got hanged up. What a joke this store is. Love this target I do but I will say a recent experience really upset me and my husband. We were leaving and he reached out to help me with a bag and dropped the one in his hands and it had a glass apple juice. It shattered. He felt bad and kept saying we were sorry and the man at the customer service just gave a loud sigh and never said a word to us. Not “it’s okay” or a “we got it” he didn’t even acknowledge us. He took the bag out of my husbands hand without a word and I had to say there’s other merchandise in the bag and he just hands it over again without a word. He calls for clean up and I say we’re sorry and we hang around to see if we can help and he completely ignored us… maybe I looked rude due to being in pain from a injury but I don’t know.
