My young kiddo really wanted a chili dog like Sonic (the hedgehog). The rest of our family went to Whattaburger next door. They walked over there and I placed the order for the chili dog (and a couple of drinks) on the app to get the discount at 5:23pm. It said it estimated to be ready at 5:29pm. I checked in right away because we were already there. After 12 minutes of waiting someone came out and gave an order to a car that was already there when we arrived. Who knows how long they waited in total. I'm not sure at one point the screen no longer was showing "in kitchen" but I didn't think much of it because they often mark it as coming even when it's not right away- to look good on numbers? We tried to be patient, it's hard when your 5 year old is crying about being hungry. I took a screenshot of my phone to remind me when I called... so I called on the intercom at 5:43 (20n minutes after my order). I couldn't understand anything other than a man saying sorry. A few minutes later and a lady brought it out... not even a word as to why we waited so long. She asked if I wanted the receipt and I said yes but then when I saw there was no ketchup (I ordered fries and specified ketchup on the order) she had to go back in to get it and forgot to give me the receipt. Right after, the rest of our family came back from Whattaburger because they had already received and finished their meal. Not only did we have to wait 20 minutes for the Sonic food but the sprite was filled with ice 2 inches below the top (it didn't take long to drink it all even though it was a large), the fries were lukewarm, and the bun on the chilidog was soggy. 2 years ago I stopped going to this location because the service was always so slow, but I had hoped it improved in that time.

Read moreThis is a great local place and the team here are helpful and accommodating. The only reason I left off 1 star is because their app is horrendous and the security is weak.
I had an issue months ago in which I contacted their Support team to let them aware that someone had accessed my account since they ordered a food item which I DO NOT order myself AND attempted to refill my Sonic card, whereby I was alerted that I needed to add a different card to refill my Sonic card. Without that alert, I would have been a victim and not noticed until much much later.
I do NOT have a physical Sonic card and I only pay through my app (but bc of this SECURITY weakness, I’m paying through the kiosk using my regular credit card). I never share my login credentials. The problem is the app. They need to implement 2FA or somehow get a better hashing function to keep customers’ info safe. If I may recommend, either use OAuth for the app or use the Google Authentication API.
I dealt with Support a few times and I always got a different person trying to help but ALWAYS wanting to REPEAT myself by filling out their form. I filled out that form at least twice so why don’t you keep a Support ticket history!? Read moreI will contact the establishment to ensure these errors I experienced today are remedied before I completely give up hope on the closest Sonic to my home. I arrived in a Lane to place my order and there was loud screaming coming over the mic from the staff. Then the person switched out after allowing me to begin ordering then I had to repeat my order to a new person. Two of my smash burgers were incorrect and not the big deal smashers I ordered. The third burger was supposed to be a triple deal sonic smasher but it was a double. I saw the triple big deal smasher on screen before paying can't recall if the two regular smashers were listed appropriately. I do not have a receipt. The order came out fairly quickly and the young lady was very kind. Now to the drinks three of the same drink with flavor bubbles and one ocean water. I bit into a chocolate chip after slurping on my blue raspberry slush with flavor bubbles. I then removed the lid to further inspect and discovered what looked like an Oreo cookie piece very small and some identifiable small black think. This totally ruined my drink and it sits Moore full than empty due to mysterious findings.
