I recently visited this CVS to pick up a prescription for a family member who has used this pharmacy for over eight years. Unfortunately, Iāve never experienced such poor customer service.
While the pharmacist who was assisting me was helpful, her colleague ā who felt the need to interrupt our conversation ā was rude, unprofessional, and clearly lacked basic customer service skills. She abruptly told me that she needed the register I was standing near, despite there being three other open registers. Her tone was snarky and unnecessarily hostile. I explained that I was being helped and simply waiting for the prescription, but she insisted I was in her way.
Later, as I continued shopping and passed by the pharmacy again, I overheard the same employee loudly complaining about me to her colleagues. This was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I confronted her and pointed out that she had been the one who was rude ā her behavior was unacceptable and demonstrated zero customer service ability.
I then asked to speak with the store manager, who showed no interest in addressing the issue. I even had to ask him if he cared about what had happened. His response? āIām standing here.ā He explained that he hadnāt slept and didnāt feel well ā an excuse that didnāt justify his indifference to the situation. He told me to call the 800 number if I wanted to file a complaint, making it clear he had no intention of engaging further or addressing the behavior of his staff.
I left the store feeling dismissed and thoroughly frustrated.
The following week, I returned to quickly print a photo. There are two photo machines in the store ā neither was working, and neither had any signage to indicate this. When I asked the customer service representative at the register whether they were functional, he simply replied, āYour guess is as good as mine.ā

I had called a few days prior to make sure they had the medication in stock which they stated they did, then proceeded to say I had to wait one extra day because they put the wrong pick up date in the system. I arrived on the morning I was due to pick up and the woman at the counter was SO rude. I don't have anything for you she says..then she goes oh the tramadol, we sent a request for your doctor and they haven't responded and walked away. The way people with chronic pain, and the stigma behind having to take narcotics to kill the pain is crazy. They treated me like I was some sort of junkie. I don't want to be on these medications, but unfortunately I need to be to get through life without being in excruciating pain all the time. CVS needs to do sensitivity training or something because that is unacceptable. I have been in healthcare over 15 years, and would never discriminate against anyone for anything, and that is what happened here. I called my local CVS when a med was on back order, and they sent me to Seaside AFTER SPEAKING TO THE PHARMACIST that they had one bottle of the med in stock. I kindly told her what I was there for and she goes āyouāre going to need to wait annd see if i can do somethingā slams the door, and has me pull around. and then she was nasty the entire exchange even though my home pharmacy already spoke with her. She then tells me how my insurance wonāt cover the med because thereās one less pill than it needed to be filled.
