Great place to stay if you don't mind flexibility. The hotel is far from old. It isn't and doesn't smell outdated. A little disclaimer there. I've been to some old places and you can tell that the hotel is like in a time capsule. This hotel isnt one of those lol. The staff definitely shows kindness and patience through their actions. The room/rooms needs a little bit more functionality to them and it'll be a 5 star for sure. Beds were comfortable. A/C fantastic. I enjoyed the style of the sink and bathroom. T.V. and fridge were cool for the most part. Online on their website listed things that wasn't there. There wasn't a coffee/tea maker in the room or daily breakfast located in lobby that we noticed. Now there was a coffee maker and expresso machine in the lobby. There wasn't a iron/ironing board in the room as well. Other things as well. So aside from a few minor things, our time staying here was chill and laid back. I brought enough stuff to clean and freshen the room like it was my own. I'm greatful to have never saw nothing creepy nor crawling yo!!! A few bumps here and there but nothing major. You could tell that the staff cares. The room we stayed in needed a coat rack/space to hang up clothing you don't want wrinkled or need to dry. Perhaps one more shelf/dividers to put clothing/products. Labels too. We were flipping up and down a switch trying to figure out what did it belong. So we left it down. Only to later to find out that it needed to stay on the up position omg. It just seemed over all that either the hotel is under new management or just in transit on upgrades. So be mindful while on the website that those pictures may vary unless you're looking at people's actual recent pictures. We did get a surprise towards the end of our visit which I really appreciated it. I think that if you're realistic, you won't be let down. It wasn't far the boardwalk either. I deal with multiple joint pain and my hips tend to randomly pop out whenever they feel like it. Location really mattered to me. This hotel met my accommodations/questions/concerns/curiosities so know that if they did it for me, they'll do it for you too. Oh, and it was so peaceful. Far away from the noise. Noise doesn't bother me. But it cherish peace. Where the hotel...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām so sad to say this was the WORST experience Iāve ever had checking in to any hotel Iāve ever been to. At first everything was normal, my sister and I gave all the information needed to check in and the man seemed okay. Once my boyfriend came in from the car everything went left, fast too. As soon as the man at the front desk who I was later told is management seen an African American young male his whole demeanor changed. He waited until we began walking to our room to follow us and tell us that we needed to pay $100 cash deposit for the room. We asked why, and how come he didnāt mention that earlier when we called the hotel asking if there were any refundable or nonrefundable deposits or even when we were checking in and he had no answer. The man then began insisting we give him the $100 cash now or we leave the property. He proceeded to turn off our room key to make sure it did not work before we even got to get to the room door. My little sister had to use the bathroom badly being that we just finished a 2 hour drive but the man would not even allow her to use the bathroom. He continued yelling, being disrespectful, rude and just so unprofessional about this cash deposit he insisted on getting. When I asked if I can just be refunded for the property instead he yelled at me to get out and began taking off his sweater and grabbing his arms as if he was hinting that he was going to get violent next. NONE of it made logical sense and I was so astonished because I felt like he only reacted this way because he seen an African American male with long dreads. The man definitely seemed racist to me, and the craziest part about it was how fast he switched his personalities on us. Still three days later I have not received any refund, heās been arguing with Expedia that I was the problem and he will not give me none of my money in return. Keep in mind I had to find another hotel at 10:30pm at night after driving two hours to reach this one and then spend on another hotel. I just felt uncomfortable staying here after the way my family and I was wrongfully treated. I hope this man gets what he...

VROOM VROOM!!
There was mold on some parts of the walls and bath tub. The faucet was twisted loose. There were no extra power outlets/charging units available. FAIL.
VROOM VROOM!!
There was no phone, alarm clock, closets, or drawers. There were no tissue boxes either. Why is there a broken pool sign on our floor? In the evening, we discovered that the TV wouldn't turn on at all, despite everything being properly plugged in. FAIL.
VROOM VROOM!!
The final straw was when we found out that there was a...VROOM VROOM... huge motorcycle convention with heavy metal bands performing nearby with no advance warning. VROOM VROOM!! Motorcycle engines kept revving every 5-6 minutes. VROOM VROOM!! We knew this was going to go on...VROOM VROOM... throughout the whole entire night after looking up this event with Aire's free WIFI. VROOM VROOM!! This place claims to be noise-proof,Ā but...VROOM VROOM...hearing the motorcycle noises prove otherwise. VROOM VROOM!! Communication and noise-proof wise, they screwed up big time.
VROOM VROOM!!
We decided to leave around 8pm that night and stay at aĀ relative's place 20 minutes North as this...VROOM VROOM...freak show was way too low brow for a so-called 2-star hotel.
VROOM VROOM!!
The next day, we contacted our 3rd party travel provider to open a claim after visiting this freak show. A few days later, we were notified that nothing could be done. I waited a week before posting this review in case a 1/2 or full refund could be given, but since they won't do anything, here it is. Word to the wise, I understand that this freak show is close-by to the boardwalk. But unless you're an insomniac who doesn't need to sleep at all and doesn't mind staying in a freak show so you can be as close as possible to the boardwalk, you're better off just crossing the bridge on NJ-37 and staying somewhere nicer in the Toms...
